ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for successfully completing the required basic training. Able to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists, and managers on non-basic issues. Must pass the appropriate pre-employment test battery.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responds to internal and external customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims.
- Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions.
- Operates a PC/image station to obtain and extract information, documents information, activities, and changes in the database.
- Thoroughly documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis.
- Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
- Provides external and internal customers with requested information.
- Under immediate supervision, receives and places follow-up telephone calls/e-mails to answer customer questions that are routine in nature.
- Uses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
- Requires limited knowledge of company services, products, insurance benefits, provider contracts, and claims.
- Seeks, understands, and responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and previous experience in an automated customer service environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- This position is defined as remote, or work-from-home; however, you may need to report into a local office periodically.
- Qualified candidates must be bilingual English/Spanish, have at least one year of customer service experience, and demonstrate basic proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook with accurate data entry.
- Must be able to pass a validated language test/assessment.
- They are comfortable navigating web-based applications using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required, including the ability to problem-solve, facilitate discussions, and analyze information. Medical training and/or HIPAA experience is preferred, and experience in healthcare and Medicare is a plus.

Work Schedule:
- Training: 3 weeks, 8:30 am to 5 pm EST, remote.
- Nesting: 2 weeks, 8:30 am to 5 pm EST, remote.
- After training and nesting:
- Monday through Friday 8 hour shift between 8 am and 8 pm EST, MUST BE FLEXIBLE to work various hours - remote from home.
- Occasional weekend days, 8 hour shift between 8 am and 8 pm, remote from home.
- Potential upskill training based on business needs. Additional 2-3 weeks of training, with 1-2 weeks of nesting.
- Must be available to work the day after Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, and MLK Jr. Holiday.
- 100% remote. Candidates must be within a reasonable commute to a PulsePoint location.
