Job Description:

Purchasing Senior Staff

Qualifications

• Understanding of all Purchasing practices and procedures.
• Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience is preferred.

Reports To: Purchasing Coordinator/Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with Purchasing and/or Sales Activities.
• Purchase various services and materials for the company.
• Achieve corporate goals and meet quality, delivery and cost commitments.
• Assist in establishing procurement procedures and communicate the procedures to all personnel.
• Maintain supplier management and ensure supplier readiness.
• Assist with the coordination of the completion of customer part quotation forms.
• Evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet the purchasing procedures.
• Maintain the preparation of purchase requisitions/purchase orders and agreements for purchase and sale of goods.
• Troubleshoot problems as needed.
• Manage customer demands and communicate changes to suppliers.
• Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
• Ensure safe operations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Requires knowledge of purchasing terms, principles and processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to travel.
• Open office work space.
