You’ll provide expert technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for excitation systems used in power plants and industrial facilities. This position combines hands-on field work with problem-solving and customer engagement.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of excitation systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to both hardware and software components.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop and implement effective technical solutions.
- Prepare detailed service reports, documentation, and recommendations for internal and customer use.
- Ensure full compliance with Siemens Energy and customer safety standards at all times.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in excitation and control systems.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of field service experience, preferably with excitation systems or power generation equipment.
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of excitation systems (Siemens Energy or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of control systems, power plant operations, and use of diagnostic/test tools.
- Ability to work independently in the field with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently (domestic and international). Valid driver’s license required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
