Pay: $45.00-$50.00 an hour

Job Summary:
The Construction Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction processes and materials used in projects. This role involves monitoring, assessing, and approving the quality of work performed by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, code requirements, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans for assigned construction project(s).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with approved design, quality standards, and specifications.
- Review and approve quality control documentation, including test plans, inspection reports, and material submittals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality records, reports, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality failures and recommend preventive measures.
- Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality assurance and quality control processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preference for Industrial or Mechanical), Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- 10 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to construction quality management.
- Familiarity with relevant quality management systems and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Able to read and navigate engineering drawings and models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Management Professional (QMP)).
- Experience with Life Science, GMP, or clean room projects.
