TITLE: Lead Mobile Equipment Mechanic
LOCATION: N. Denver CO
INTRODUCTION
Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Lead Mobile Equipment Mechanic in the Northern Denver CO area. Will travel to local customer sites for troubleshooting and maintenance of company equipment (1-2 hour radius of travel.)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You Will Do:
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair on heavy equipment (including excavators, dozers, and haul trucks.)
- Lead and mentor junior technicians, improving overall team capability
- Execute hydraulic, transmission, and mechanical repairs on heavy equipment
- Operate independently in the field and proactively identify maintenance issues
- Manage workload priorities and ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standards
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 4 years Active Duty U.S. Military experience (Mechanical background)
- Strong experience with heavy equipment (yellow iron / excavators, dozers, haul trucks)
- Proven ability in hydraulics, transmissions, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Leadership experience or ability to mentor junior technicians
- Experience working in a mobile or field service environment preferred
- CDL Class B preferred (company will provide training if needed)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of fleet maintenance
COMPENSATION
- Compensation: $40.00-50.00/hr + company service truck
