Which cities in Colorado have the most accounting sponsorship jobs?
Denver leads with the highest concentration of accounting visa sponsorship positions, followed by Boulder and Colorado Springs. Denver's downtown financial district hosts many Fortune 500 companies and regional headquarters. Boulder attracts tech companies needing financial analysts, while Colorado Springs has government contractors and aerospace firms requiring accounting professionals with specialized compliance experience.
Which visa types are most common for accounting roles in Colorado?
H-1B visas dominate accounting sponsorship in Colorado, particularly for CPA roles, financial analysts, and senior accounting positions requiring specialized knowledge. F-1 students on OPT often transition to H-1B through Colorado's Big Four firms and mid-size practices. Some multinational corporations use L-1 visas for transferring accounting managers to their Colorado operations.
How to find accounting visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international accounting professionals with Colorado employers who sponsor work visas. Filter by Colorado and accounting to view current openings at firms actively hiring foreign nationals. Focus on positions explicitly mentioning visa sponsorship or H-1B support, particularly at public accounting firms and larger corporations with established immigration programs.
Which accounting companies sponsor visas in Colorado?
Arrow Electronics, Dish Network, and DaVita frequently sponsor accounting professionals in Colorado. The Big Four accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) all have Denver offices with active H-1B programs. Regional firms like EKS&H and Ehrhardt Keefe Steiner also sponsor visas for experienced CPAs and specialists in cannabis industry accounting.
What are prevailing wage considerations for accounting jobs in Colorado?
Colorado's prevailing wages for accounting positions vary significantly between Denver metro and smaller markets. Denver commands higher prevailing wages due to cost of living, while rural areas may have lower thresholds. Cannabis industry accounting roles often exceed standard prevailing wages due to specialized compliance requirements and limited talent pool in this regulated sector.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accounting jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
