Which medical devices companies sponsor visas in Colorado?
Major medical devices employers in Colorado include Medtronic (spine and diabetes technologies), Boston Scientific (interventional medicine), Teleflex (surgical instruments), and Abbott (diagnostics). These companies regularly sponsor H-1B visas for engineering, regulatory affairs, and clinical research positions. Smaller biotech firms in the Boulder area also sponsor visas for specialized roles.
How to find medical devices visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for medical devices positions in Colorado that sponsor work visas. Filter by visa type and location to find opportunities with companies like Medtronic in Louisville or Boston Scientific in Maple Grove facilities. Many positions are concentrated in the Denver-Boulder corridor's biotech hub.
Which visa types are most common for medical devices roles in Colorado?
H-1B visas dominate medical devices hiring in Colorado, particularly for biomedical engineers, regulatory specialists, and quality assurance roles. O-1 visas are used for senior researchers and executives with extraordinary ability. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican engineers, while E-3 visas serve Australian professionals in qualifying specialty occupations.
Which cities in Colorado have the most medical devices sponsorship jobs?
Denver leads in medical devices sponsorship opportunities, followed by Boulder and Louisville. The Front Range corridor from Denver to Fort Collins concentrates most biotech activity. Westminster and Broomfield also host medical technology companies. Rural areas have fewer opportunities, with most international hiring focused in the metropolitan Denver area.
What are the prevailing wage considerations for medical devices jobs in Colorado?
Colorado's prevailing wages for medical devices roles are generally lower than California or Massachusetts but competitive within the Mountain West region. Biomedical engineers and regulatory specialists typically fall into Level 2-3 wage categories. The state's lower cost of living compared to coastal biotech hubs can make positions attractive despite moderate wage levels.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored medical devices jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
