Which medical devices companies sponsor visas in Arizona?
Major medical devices companies in Arizona that have sponsored work visas include Medtronic (Tempe), Abbott Laboratories (Phoenix area), Boston Scientific, Baxter International, and numerous smaller medical device manufacturers. Many of these companies sponsor H-1B visas for engineering, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance positions, particularly for candidates with biomedical engineering or related technical degrees.
How to find medical devices visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for medical devices positions in Arizona that offer visa sponsorship. Filter by cities like Phoenix, Tempe, and Tucson where most medical device companies operate. Focus on roles in regulatory affairs, quality engineering, biomedical engineering, and clinical research, as these positions frequently require specialized skills that justify visa sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for medical devices roles in Arizona?
H-1B visas are most common for medical devices positions in Arizona, particularly for biomedical engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, and quality assurance roles. Some companies also use L-1 visas for intracompany transfers and O-1 visas for specialized research positions. TN visas work well for Canadian and Mexican engineers in this field.
Which cities in Arizona have the most medical devices sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix metropolitan area leads medical devices visa sponsorship opportunities, with major employers in Tempe, Scottsdale, and Phoenix proper. Tucson offers additional opportunities, particularly around University of Arizona's medical research facilities. Mesa and Chandler also host medical device manufacturers, though on a smaller scale than the Phoenix corridor.
What are the prevailing wage considerations for medical devices roles in Arizona?
Arizona's prevailing wages for medical devices positions are generally competitive with national averages, particularly for specialized roles in regulatory affairs and biomedical engineering. The Phoenix metro area typically offers higher wages than rural Arizona locations. Companies must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for visa sponsorship, which varies by specific job title and geographic location within Arizona.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored medical devices jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
