ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Centralized Painter, you collaborate with the leadership team to meet your daily goals. You also assist with any other painting needs as necessary to always maintain the highest level of quality.
THE PAINTING PRO
- Complete at least one full apartment home paint or two touch-up apartment home paints per day; assist with other painting needs as requested by the Service Manager
- Complete small drywall repairs and paint prep functions
- Assist in consistent completion of daily paint shop opening/closing tasks
- Maintain all company paint equipment to as close to as new condition; follow paint spraying equipment maintenance protocols as written
- Report any issues or concerns that arise affecting schedule or timely completion of painting tasks
THE STANDARD KEEPER
- Ensure that Cortland’s standards for the performance of painting-related functions and individual associate presentation are consistently maintained
- Make sure that the paint shop is consistently well stocked, clean/debris free, and set up and maintained to Cortland’s standards
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and team to develop processes and programs to improve painting team operations and performance
- Report any support needs or training requests that will enhance the ability to perform the role and complete required duties in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong 2+ years of experience within interior residential painting; custom home painting is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of spray equipment, elevated safety procedures, and OSHA and MSDS regulations
- Proficient with roller and brush work along with spraying, including spray prep work; ability to repair paint spray or trade equipment is a plus
- Capability to complete small drywall repairs to include matching texture; larger project ability is a plus
- Ability to work on ladders or scaffolding as needed
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Strong ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills; English speaking preferred
- Availability to work all shifts, including weekends as needed
- Working knowledge of maintenance management software a plus or must be willing to learn
COMPENSATION
- Pay: $21-$25/hour based on experience
