Title: Visiting Faculty: Music, Choir

Position Type: Part-time
Summary
Teaches 3 semester hours per academic year in College choir. Additional duties may include contributing to the campus, supporting students, supporting Principia activities, and promoting Christian Science-based character education in accord with Principia’s mission as outlined in Education at The Principia.

Primary Responsibilities
- Teaches 3 semester hours Spring ‘26 in Music: College Choir
- Is an active character educator in accordance with Principia’s mission
- Supports metaphysically the mission and goals of the institution and its operations
- Maintains office hours
- Meets with students for academic support
- Prepares for, teaches, and measures student learning for assigned courses within the context of Principia's philosophy of liberal arts education
Additional Duties:
- Works closely with students to further develop their thinking, writing, research, and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Music, DMA, or Ed.D. in Music preferred
- Supportive of Principia’s mission, vision, and values as articulated here https://www.principia.edu/about/mission
- Willingness to be an academic generalist who is able to teach multiple areas within the discipline
- Ability to work with a range of students and skill levels
- Classroom teaching experience or work with college-aged students preferred
- Demonstrated facility and comfort with navigating and leveraging a learning management system

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive starting salary range for this position: $6,300-$8,310 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
