Deloitte's Senior Consultants are self-starters who are comfortable in an energetic and dynamic "roll-up-your-sleeves" culture. Senior Consultant level responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Synthesize overall technology/software strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial and technical analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs
- Proven ability to be resourceful with certain subject matter areas that arise during diligence activities
- Responsiveness including the ability to respond to emails / calls within a reasonable turnaround based on client situation and needs

- Valuate technology systems and operations of a company
- Identify potential risks
- Help ensure IT or specific software is a successful enabler for a transaction
The Team
Our M&A team offers expert guidance to corporate and private equity clients in navigating complex growth and divestiture scenarios. Our services encompass M&A strategy and transaction diligence, integration and separation planning and execution, as well as transaction financing.
Within M&A strategy and transaction diligence, our IT and product tech diligence specialists focus on the value creation potential of each transaction and its inherent operational risks. The Deloitte IT diligence practice executes across several services through evaluating technology systems and operations of companies, identifying potential risks, and helping ensure IT is a successful enabler for an M&A transaction. Each service has a focus across an organization's people, process, applications and infrastructure, and incorporates unique industry considerations. Product tech diligence helps our clients by reviewing proprietary technology products, cyber security, initial carve out/standup requirements and initial integration/separation planning requirements. This is done through an integrated platform which more clearly checks the alignment of the deal macros with our clients' investment theses, focuses on the foundational maturity of the target company, brings more value creation concepts to the diligence effort, and applies a metrics-driven perspective.

- 4+ years of M&A product tech or software diligence or M&A product tech or software diligence service delivery experience
- Experience in the delivery of at least 10+ product/software tech projects for strategic or financial clients
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years consulting and/or industry experience; alternatively, an MBA with 2+ years relevant work experience
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Frame Your Credentials Around Specialty Occupation Standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning a specific bachelor's degree or higher must be the normal entry requirement. For Product Consultant positions, align your resume to show direct field-of-study relevance, not just general business experience.
Target Deloitte Practices That Match Your Industry Background
Deloitte staffs Product Consultants within distinct practice areas like Technology, Government, and Financial Services. Applying to a practice where your prior industry experience is a direct match increases your chances of clearing internal sponsorship thresholds.
Ask About Sponsorship Posture During Recruiter Screening
Deloitte's sponsorship decisions can vary by practice and project pipeline. Ask the recruiter directly whether the specific team is currently approving sponsorship for new hires so you're not investing weeks in a process that won't move forward.
Understand Deloitte's H-1B Filing Calendar Before Accepting an Offer
Cap-subject H-1B filings happen once a year with USCIS, and registrations open in March. If you receive an offer outside this window, confirm with your Deloitte immigration contact whether premium processing or a cap-exempt path applies to your situation.
Search Open Product Consultant Roles Using Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and role function to surface Deloitte Product Consultant postings that align with your sponsorship needs. Migrate Mate aggregates active openings so you can target the right practice and seniority level from the start.
Prepare for a Consulting Case Interview Before the Offer Stage
Deloitte's Product Consultant hiring process includes structured case interviews alongside behavioral rounds. Candidates who clear sponsorship review but struggle in case preparation lose offers at this stage, so treat interview readiness as part of your sponsorship strategy.

Find Product Consultant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Product Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Product Consultant roles and has done so consistently across its major practice areas. Sponsorship approval depends on the specific team, project pipeline, and whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Consulting roles tied to a defined technical or functional discipline generally meet that threshold, but it's worth confirming with the recruiting team for your specific practice.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Product Consultant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most international Product Consultants, and also supports H-1B1 filings for Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, Deloitte has established pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically initiated after a period of employment in a qualifying role.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Product Consultant positions?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a field directly relevant to the consulting domain, such as computer science, engineering, business, or a technical discipline aligned with the practice area. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the degree must match the role's specialty occupation requirements under USCIS guidelines. Prior consulting experience, domain expertise, and demonstrated client-facing skills strengthen your candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Product Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
You can browse and apply for Product Consultant openings at Deloitte through Migrate Mate, which surfaces active listings filtered by role type and visa sponsorship eligibility. Deloitte's hiring process typically moves through an application review, recruiter screen, and one or more rounds of case and behavioral interviews. Clarifying your sponsorship needs early in the recruiter conversation avoids delays later in the process.
How do I plan my timeline around Deloitte's H-1B sponsorship process?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration each March for an October 1 start date. If Deloitte extends you an offer and you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, your start date will depend on that annual cycle. For candidates already in the U.S. on a valid status such as OPT, Deloitte can file a change of status petition. If you're outside the U.S., consular processing applies after USCIS approval.
