Align your credentials to Deloitte's practice areas
Deloitte's Tax practice is organized by specialty, including international tax, transfer pricing, and M&A tax. Tailor your resume and CPA or LLM credentials to a specific service line rather than presenting as a generalist Tax Services Manager candidate.
Target office locations with active tax practices
Deloitte's largest tax practices operate out of New York, Chicago, San Jose, and McLean. Applying to offices where your specialty has active client portfolios increases the likelihood your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before the offer stage
Deloitte uses E-Verify for all new hires. Confirm your current visa status and remaining authorized work period with the recruiter early. The H-1B cap deadline in March means offer timing relative to the fiscal year lottery matters significantly.
Understand how Deloitte structures permanent residency support
For Tax Services Managers on a path to Green Card sponsorship, Deloitte typically initiates PERM labor certification after a qualifying period. Understanding whether your role is filed under EB-2 or EB-3 affects your priority date and overall timeline substantially.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Tax Services Manager openings
Deloitte posts roles across multiple portals and locations simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter Tax Services Manager positions at Deloitte that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to the right postings before headcount closes.
Prepare documentation supporting specialty occupation status
USCIS scrutinizes whether managerial tax roles require a specific degree. Assemble transcripts, your CPA license, and any advanced degree in accounting or tax law before your employer files the H-1B petition, since a Request for Evidence on specialty occupation is common in this category.

Find Tax Services Manager at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Tax Services Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Tax Services Managers and is one of the more active professional services firms filing H-1B petitions in the tax function. The firm has an internal immigration team that manages the process, but timing matters: H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so offer timing relative to that window is critical.
How do I apply for Tax Services Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers, but roles fill quickly and many are listed across multiple locations simultaneously. Migrate Mate lets you filter Tax Services Manager positions at Deloitte that are open to visa sponsorship, helping you identify and apply to the right openings without manually scanning every posting. Networking into the specific practice area you are targeting also speeds recruiter engagement significantly.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Tax Services Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization in this role. For permanent residency, the firm supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions. Australian citizens should note the E-3 is a strong option given it has no annual lottery and allows unlimited two-year renewals. H-1B1 is available exclusively to Chilean and Singaporean nationals.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Tax Services Manager?
Deloitte typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with an active CPA license or JD. Most Tax Services Manager candidates have five or more years of progressive tax experience, often including prior public accounting work. Specialization in a practice area like international tax, transfer pricing, or state and local tax strengthens your candidacy over a generalist background. An advanced degree such as an LLM in taxation is common but not always required.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Deloitte Tax Services Manager role?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. For H-1B, the standard process runs from April lottery registration to October 1 employment start, roughly six months. Premium processing through USCIS reduces the adjudication period to 15 business days for an additional fee. E-3 applicants can move faster since there is no lottery and consular appointments in Australia are typically available within a few weeks, making that pathway considerably more predictable.
