Frame your credentials around Deloitte's service lines
Deloitte hires Business Managers into specific practices like Strategy & Analytics, Risk Advisory, and Government & Public Services. Tailor your resume to reflect the practice area you're targeting, not a generic consulting background.
Identify sponsored roles before applying
Not every Business Manager opening at Deloitte is eligible for sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter active Deloitte postings that have a confirmed sponsorship track record, so you apply where the pathway already exists.
Time your application around Deloitte's recruiting cycles
Deloitte runs structured campus and experienced-hire recruiting cycles, typically ramping up in late summer and early fall. Applying outside these windows often means longer response times and less predictable sponsorship timelines.
Clarify your visa category early with the recruiter
Deloitte sponsors multiple visa types, and the right one depends on your nationality and current status. If you're Australian, ask explicitly about E-3 eligibility, as it's simpler to process than H-1B and not subject to the lottery.
Prepare for the PERM process if pursuing a Green Card
Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for Business Managers, which require a DOL-supervised PERM labor certification. This process typically takes one to two years before the I-140 petition stage, so align your timeline expectations early.
Document your specialty occupation case before interviews
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations. For Business Manager titles, which can read as generalist, gather evidence that your role demands a specific bachelor's degree field, such as finance, business administration, or management information systems.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. The firm has dedicated immigration teams that manage petition filings through USCIS, including premium processing in time-sensitive situations. Because H-1B is subject to the annual lottery, sponsorship is typically confirmed after selection, and Deloitte generally initiates the process once an offer is extended and the role clears internal eligibility review.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/us/careers. Search by job family or service line to find Business Manager openings. If you need visa sponsorship, filtering for roles with a confirmed sponsorship history before applying saves time. Migrate Mate surfaces Deloitte Business Manager postings with sponsorship context, so you can prioritize the right openings from the start.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Business Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for Business Managers depending on the candidate's nationality. Australian citizens are typically processed under the E-3, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely and moves faster through consular processing. For longer-term pathways, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for eligible employees after a qualifying period.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for sponsored Business Manager roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, economics, or management, along with several years of client-facing or project management experience. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, so your degree field and job duties need to align closely. An MBA or professional certification can strengthen both your application and the visa petition.
How do I navigate the sponsorship timeline once Deloitte extends an offer?
After an offer is extended, Deloitte's immigration team typically initiates the visa process within weeks. For H-1B, timing depends on whether you're transferring from an existing H-1B or entering through the annual lottery in April. For E-3 candidates, consular appointments can be scheduled directly, with most Australian consulates offering appointments within two to six weeks. Confirm your current status and authorized work start date with your recruiter early to avoid gaps.
