Align your credentials to Deloitte's client framework
Deloitte's Product Security Engineers often support client engagements rather than internal products, so frame your experience around securing systems for external stakeholders. Certifications like CISSP, CSSLP, or cloud security credentials strengthen your profile for consulting-track roles.
Target roles under Deloitte's cyber practice
Product Security openings at Deloitte typically sit within Cyber and Strategic Risk service lines. Filtering your search to those practice areas surfaces the roles most likely to come with dedicated immigration support and a defined sponsorship process.
Ask about visa type during initial recruiter conversations
Deloitte sponsors multiple nonimmigrant categories including H-1B, E-3, and H-1B1. Clarifying which petition type applies to your situation before the offer stage prevents last-minute surprises, especially if you're transitioning from F-1 OPT and need cap-subject H-1B timing aligned to your employment start.
Prepare a degree equivalency narrative early
Specialty occupation requirements mean your degree field must map directly to product security work. If your credential is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation ready before interviews so Deloitte's immigration counsel can confirm it satisfies USCIS standards without delaying the LCA or I-129 filing.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Product Security openings
Deloitte posts Product Security Engineer roles across multiple U.S. locations, and availability shifts frequently. Use Migrate Mate to filter for currently open positions at Deloitte that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to live roles rather than outdated listings.
Understand how PERM timing affects long-term planning
For EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship, Deloitte must complete a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing an immigrant petition. This process typically takes one to two years before the I-140 stage, so raise long-term sponsorship expectations during offer negotiation, not after your H-1B is approved.

Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Product Security Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Product Security Engineers and has a well-established immigration program for technical roles across its consulting practices. Sponsorship is handled through Deloitte's internal legal and HR infrastructure. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing your offer to align with the April lottery registration window is essential, as cap-subject petitions can only take effect on October 1.
How do I apply for Product Security Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight hands-on security engineering experience relevant to client environments, such as threat modeling, secure SDLC, or cloud security architecture. You can also browse current openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate before applying directly through Deloitte's official portal.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Product Security Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant categories for permanent residency. E-3 applies exclusively to Australian citizens, and H-1B1 is available only to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. These cap-exempt or separately allocated categories can move faster than standard H-1B sponsorship for eligible candidates.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Product Security Engineer roles?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information security, or a closely related field, since USCIS requires a direct relationship between your degree and the role for specialty occupation classification. Practical experience in application security, penetration testing, or secure development lifecycles matters heavily. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP strengthen candidacy, particularly for client-delivery roles.
How long does Deloitte's visa sponsorship process take for this role?
For H-1B sponsorship, Deloitte must first file a Labor Condition Application with DOL, which takes roughly seven business days, before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. Standard USCIS processing runs three to six months. Premium processing, which Deloitte may elect, guarantees a decision within 15 business days. E-3 and H-1B1 petitions often follow a similar internal timeline but are not subject to the annual lottery.
