Align your credentials to Deloitte's security practice areas
Deloitte organizes its security hiring around cyber risk, cloud security, and incident response practices. Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or cloud-specific credentials directly match how their recruiters filter candidates at the resume screening stage.
Target roles within Deloitte's cyber consulting division
Security Engineer openings tied to client-facing cyber advisory work tend to move through hiring faster than internal IT roles. Filtering your applications to Deloitte's consulting arm puts you in front of the teams most accustomed to sponsorship workflows.
Use Migrate Mate to track open Security Engineer roles at Deloitte
Security Engineer openings at Deloitte are posted across multiple practice areas and can close quickly. Migrate Mate filters verified sponsoring employers so you can identify and apply to the right roles before they fill.
Prepare your I-9 documents before your start date
Deloitte uses E-Verify, so your work authorization documentation needs to be in order from day one. Having your visa approval notice and supporting documents organized well before your start date prevents onboarding complications at a firm that processes a high volume of international hires.
Account for USCIS premium processing in your start date negotiation
For H-1B transfers or new petitions, standard USCIS processing can run several months. If your target start date is firm, ask your Deloitte recruiter early whether premium processing is available for your petition to avoid a gap between offer acceptance and authorization.

Find Security Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Security Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Security Engineers. It's one of the more active professional services firms in this space, particularly for roles within its cyber risk and managed security practices. Sponsorship is handled through Deloitte's internal immigration team, and the process typically begins after a formal offer is extended.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Security Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and immigrant visa categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Security Engineers. The right category depends on your nationality and the specific role. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which avoids the H-1B lottery. H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. All other nationalities would typically go through the H-1B process.
How do I apply for Security Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
You can apply through Deloitte's careers portal or browse verified sponsoring roles using Migrate Mate, which filters Deloitte's open Security Engineer positions by visa type. Deloitte's hiring process for technical security roles typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessment, and multiple rounds of interviews covering both security engineering depth and client-facing scenarios relevant to consulting work.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Security Engineer candidates seeking sponsorship?
Deloitte's Security Engineer roles generally require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, which is also the baseline USCIS requires for H-1B specialty occupation status. Practically, candidates with hands-on experience in cloud security, threat detection, or security architecture, along with certifications like CISSP or AWS Security Specialty, are significantly more competitive during screening.
How do I plan my timeline for a Security Engineer role at Deloitte if I need visa sponsorship?
If you need H-1B sponsorship and aren't already on one, the annual cap registration window runs in March for an October 1 start date, so your offer and petition need to be in place well before then. E-3 and H-1B1 categories don't have a cap, which makes timelines more flexible. Factor in several weeks for USCIS processing after your petition is filed, or ask your recruiter whether premium processing applies to your petition.
