Align your portfolio to Deloitte's delivery model
Deloitte Project Architects are evaluated on their ability to lead client-facing engagements, not just technical execution. Frame your experience around governance, stakeholder management, and delivery outcomes on enterprise-scale projects to match their consulting context.
Clarify your visa category before applying
Deloitte sponsors multiple visa types for this role. If you're Australian, the E-3 is faster and avoids the H-1B lottery. Confirm which category fits your nationality and employment timeline before your first recruiter call so you can speak to it directly.
Target Deloitte's federal and commercial practice lines
Project Architect demand at Deloitte concentrates in their Government and Public Services and Technology practices. Filtering your search by these business units increases your odds of landing a role with active headcount and established sponsorship workflows.
Prepare your credentials for specialty occupation documentation
USCIS requires H-1B petitions to demonstrate the role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Gather degree certificates, transcripts, and any professional certifications in architecture or enterprise systems early, as Deloitte's immigration team will need these to build your petition.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Project Architect roles
Filtering by role and visa type across consulting firms takes time. Migrate Mate lets you browse Project Architect openings at Deloitte filtered by sponsorship type, so you're only looking at positions where your visa category is already supported.
Understand the LCA filing step before your offer stage
Before Deloitte can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, they must certify a Labor Condition Application with the DOL confirming your offered wage meets the prevailing rate. Knowing this step exists helps you anticipate a two-to-four week gap between offer acceptance and petition filing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Project Architects?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Project Architect roles. The process involves Deloitte filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submitting an I-129 petition to USCIS on your behalf. Because H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, timing your application cycle and having Deloitte submit your registration in March is critical to securing a cap-subject slot.
How do I apply for Project Architect jobs at Deloitte?
You can apply through Deloitte's careers portal or browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship support before applying. Tailor your application to the specific practice area, since Deloitte's Technology and Government and Public Services lines hire Project Architects most actively and have distinct competency expectations.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Project Architect roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, along with EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for permanent residence. H-1B is the most common route for non-treaty nationals. Australian citizens can use the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and allows for faster processing. H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals under their respective trade agreements.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Project Architect role?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field, plus several years of experience leading architecture or infrastructure projects in a client-facing context. Certifications in cloud platforms, enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, or specific technology stacks strengthen your profile. USCIS will also require that your degree field directly relates to the role's duties for specialty occupation classification.
How do I time a visa sponsorship process when applying to Deloitte?
If you need an H-1B, Deloitte must register you during the annual lottery window in March, with employment starting no earlier than October 1. For E-3 applicants, there's no lottery, and processing at a U.S. consulate typically takes two to four weeks after your LCA is certified. Build your job search timeline backward from your current status expiry, accounting for the DOL's LCA certification period of seven business days minimum.
