Frame Your Experience Around Client Delivery
Deloitte AI Consultant roles require both technical depth and the ability to communicate AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Restructure your resume to show specific client or project outcomes, not just model-building tasks, before you apply.
Target Deloitte's Government and Federal Practice
Deloitte's government-facing AI work frequently requires U.S. work authorization from day one. Focus your applications on commercial and industry-aligned practice areas, where E-3 and H-1B1 sponsorship pipelines tend to move faster than security-cleared roles.
Clarify Visa Category Fit Before Your Final Interview
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas, and which category applies to you affects your timeline. Australian citizens on E-3 and Chilean or Singaporean nationals on H-1B1 avoid the lottery entirely, so surface this early with your recruiter rather than waiting for an offer.
Align Your Offer Timing With USCIS Cap Deadlines
If you need H-1B cap sponsorship, the registration window opens each March for an October 1 start date. Accepting an offer at Deloitte in late spring or summer for H-1B purposes typically means a six-to-twelve month gap before your status activates.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Deloitte AI Roles by Visa Type
Deloitte posts AI Consultant openings across multiple practice lines and locations, and not all are open to sponsored candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter active roles by the visa type you need, so you're only investing time in positions where sponsorship is confirmed.
Verify Your Degree Field Maps to a Specialty Occupation
USCIS requires AI Consultant roles to qualify as specialty occupations under the H-1B definition, meaning your degree must directly relate to the position. If your bachelor's is in a adjacent field like mathematics or statistics rather than computer science, gather documentation showing how your coursework supports AI and ML work.

Find AI Consultant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for AI Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for AI Consultant roles. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, your eligibility window depends on timing and whether you're already in H-1B status. Deloitte also sponsors H-1B1 visas for eligible nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens, both of which bypass the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for AI Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where you can filter by role, location, and practice area. Roles are posted at multiple experience levels, from analyst through senior consultant. For sponsored candidates, Migrate Mate lets you browse active AI Consultant openings at Deloitte filtered by the visa type you need, saving time on roles that don't offer sponsorship.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for AI Consultant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most international candidates, along with H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, current immigration status, and the specific practice area you're joining.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for AI Consultant roles?
Most AI Consultant positions at Deloitte require a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a closely related field, with a master's degree preferred for senior roles. Practical experience with machine learning frameworks, large language models, or AI deployment in enterprise environments carries significant weight. Client-facing or project delivery experience is consistently valued across practice areas.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Deloitte as an AI Consultant?
Timelines vary by visa type. An E-3 or H-1B1 can often be processed in four to eight weeks, allowing a relatively quick start. A cap-subject H-1B requires filing in April for an October 1 activation, meaning candidates who need cap sponsorship typically plan six months or more from offer to start date. Deloitte's immigration team coordinates the filing process directly with USCIS after an offer is signed.
