Align your credentials with Deloitte's security frameworks
Deloitte's Security Manager roles in consulting typically require certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CRISC. Ensure yours are current before applying. Lapsed or pending certifications raise questions at the offer stage when visa sponsorship is also on the table.
Target cyber and risk advisory practice areas
Deloitte's Security Manager openings cluster inside its Cyber and Strategic Risk practices. Filtering your search to these practice areas surfaces roles where sponsorship is embedded in the hiring process, not treated as an exception.
Use Migrate Mate to surface current openings
Security Manager roles at Deloitte turn over frequently across regional offices. Use Migrate Mate to filter active openings by visa type so you're only spending time on roles where H-1B or E-3 sponsorship is already confirmed.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before the final round
Deloitte's recruiting process moves quickly once you pass the case and technical rounds. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific practice group is sponsoring for that role before you reach the offer stage, not after.
Understand the LCA timing in consulting hiring cycles
Deloitte files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. In consulting, hiring surges often hit late Q3 and Q4, so LCA processing can overlap with busy periods. Build at least four to six weeks of buffer between your expected start date and your current status expiry.
Position clearance eligibility as a differentiator
Many Deloitte Security Manager roles supporting government clients require candidates to be clearance-eligible. If you hold or can obtain a U.S. security clearance, make that explicit in your application. It narrows competition and strengthens the sponsorship business case internally.

Find Security Manager at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Security Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Security Manager roles, particularly within its Cyber and Strategic Risk practices. Sponsorship is most common for roles requiring specialized skills in areas like cloud security, risk advisory, or compliance. Because Deloitte is a large employer, it files H-1B petitions regularly, but sponsorship is practice-group dependent, so confirm eligibility with your recruiter early in the process.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Security Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most Security Manager hires requiring work authorization. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which is a strong alternative to the H-1B because it has no lottery. For candidates on a longer immigration timeline, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically after an initial period of employment.
How do I apply for Security Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where Security Manager roles are listed under the Cyber and Strategic Risk practice areas. Tailor your resume to highlight security frameworks, client-facing experience, and any relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM. To find roles already confirmed for visa sponsorship, browse current Deloitte Security Manager openings on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Security Manager position?
Deloitte typically expects five to eight years of security experience for Manager-level roles, with a background in areas like cybersecurity strategy, risk management, or regulatory compliance. A bachelor's degree in a related field is standard, and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are commonly listed as requirements. Consulting experience or prior client-facing work strengthens your candidacy significantly at this level.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Deloitte to sponsor my visa?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer needs to be in place by late March at the latest. E-3 applicants can move faster since there's no lottery and consular processing typically takes two to four weeks. In either case, do not resign from your current role until USCIS has issued an approval notice or your visa stamp is confirmed.
