- Demonstrated track record of delivering process improvement, automation, and/or digitization initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
- Advanced analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with demonstrated comfort working with data and applying quantitative concepts to support prioritization and decision-making.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, well-defined user stories, and testable acceptance criteria; experience partnering closely with Technology teams throughout delivery.
- Excellent executive presence, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across lines of business.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments with competing deadlines.

Frame Your Background Around Business Management
JPMorganChase's Business Manager roles typically require demonstrated experience in financial analysis, stakeholder reporting, and operational governance. Tailor your resume to reflect specific deliverables in these areas rather than general project coordination, since the LCA job description will need to align tightly with your credentials.
Target Lines of Business With Open Requisitions
JPMorganChase posts Business Manager roles across divisions including Asset and Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, and the Corporate sector. Applying within a division that has multiple open requisitions increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager who has navigated visa sponsorship before and understands the process.
Ask About Sponsorship Before Advancing Too Far
Raise visa sponsorship in the second interview round, not after an offer is issued. JPMorganChase's HR teams handle sponsorship centrally, so confirming early that your specific role and business line are eligible avoids situations where a team wants to hire you but lacks internal approval to sponsor.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Verified Sponsoring Requisitions
Not every Business Manager posting at JPMorganChase will result in sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for JPMorganChase roles with documented visa sponsorship history, so you're spending time on applications where sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than an open question.
Understand How the H-1B Cap Timeline Affects Your Start Date
If you need a new H-1B and aren't transferring an existing one, USCIS cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start. Build this into your offer negotiation at JPMorganChase, since the firm will need to commit to filing before the registration window opens in March.
Prepare for Prevailing Wage Requirements at a Large Employer
JPMorganChase, as a large financial institution, is subject to DOL prevailing wage requirements on every LCA filing. Research the prevailing wage for Business Manager roles in your target location using DOL's Foreign Labor Certification Data Center so you can evaluate whether an offer is competitive enough to meet the threshold.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. The firm has a dedicated immigration team that manages sponsorship centrally, and Business Manager positions have consistently appeared in their labor condition application filings. Sponsorship eligibility depends on the specific business line, role level, and whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for Business Manager roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas as the primary pathway for Business Manager roles. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which has no annual lottery and is often faster to obtain. For longer-term permanent residence, JPMorganChase also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Business Managers in eligible positions, typically after a period of employment.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at JPMorganChase?
You can apply directly through JPMorganChase's careers portal or browse verified sponsoring Business Manager listings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with documented visa sponsorship history. When applying, align your resume to the specific division and highlight experience in financial governance, stakeholder management, and operational reporting, which are the competencies most frequently cited in Business Manager postings.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for Business Manager roles?
Most Business Manager roles at JPMorganChase require a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field. MBA qualifications are common at the vice president level and above. Practically, hiring managers look for experience building management reporting frameworks, running operating reviews, and partnering with senior leadership across a complex organizational structure.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship at JPMorganChase?
If you're transferring an existing H-1B, JPMorganChase can file a portability transfer and you can start relatively quickly once the petition is received by USCIS. If you need a new cap-subject H-1B, the registration window opens in March and an approved petition allows an October 1 start. For E-3 applicants, consular processing in Australia typically takes two to six weeks from LCA certification to visa issuance.
