Frame your experience around marketplace metrics
DoorDash Business Managers own merchant relationships and revenue outcomes, not just project delivery. Translate past experience into measurable growth metrics, retention rates, account expansion, or P&L impact, before you apply, so your resume speaks the language of the role.
Confirm your visa type before the offer stage
DoorDash sponsors several nonimmigrant categories, including E-3 for Australians and TN for Canadians. Knowing which category applies to you before interviews means you can answer the 'what visa do you need?' question without hesitation and avoid delays once an offer is extended.
Target DoorDash's vertical-specific Business Manager openings
DoorDash posts Business Manager roles across verticals like grocery, convenience, and restaurant partnerships. Roles tied to a specific merchant vertical tend to have clearer headcount approval paths than generalist openings, which can affect how quickly a sponsorship petition moves through internal HR review.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsored Business Manager roles
Sponsorship-filtered job searches save significant time when you're targeting a specific visa type. Migrate Mate lets you filter DoorDash's Business Manager openings by the visa categories they actively sponsor, so you're applying to roles where your status is already a known quantity.
Align your start date with H-1B cap timelines if you're on OPT
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS's April H-1B lottery filing window and October 1 cap-subject start date are fixed deadlines. Coordinate your DoorDash offer timeline so that an October start is viable, or confirm whether the role qualifies for a cap-exempt filing through a related entity.
Prepare a specialty occupation rationale for your specific role
USCIS scrutinizes Business Manager petitions because the title can look generalist. Before your petition is filed, work with DoorDash's immigration counsel to document why your specific duties require a bachelor's degree in a defined field like business analytics, economics, or operations research.

Find Business Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. Because the H-1B requires demonstrating a specialty occupation, the petition needs to show that the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. DoorDash's immigration team handles this documentation, but it helps to have a degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related discipline to support the filing.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal at careers.doordash.com. Search by role title and filter by location, since Business Manager openings span multiple cities and verticals. To find roles that already have visa sponsorship attached, Migrate Mate filters DoorDash listings by the visa types they sponsor, which cuts down on dead ends when you need sponsorship confirmed upfront.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly use for Business Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of work visa categories for this function, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. For permanent residency, DoorDash also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, which typically becomes available after you've been with the company for a defined period.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Business Manager roles?
DoorDash Business Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, plus experience managing external partnerships or accounts in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with data tools like SQL or Salesforce is commonly listed. Roles focused on restaurant or grocery verticals value prior experience in those industries alongside strong commercial negotiation skills.
How do I time my application if I need visa sponsorship?
If you're on F-1 OPT, plan for a role that can start by October 1 to align with the H-1B cap-subject start date, and aim to receive an offer before the April USCIS registration window. For E-3 or TN, timing is more flexible since those categories aren't cap-subject. Confirm DoorDash's internal sponsorship approval process during the offer stage, not after, to avoid surprises before your start date.
