Target engineering and data roles first
DoorDash's strongest sponsorship history is in technical roles, software engineering, data science, and machine learning. These teams have the clearest precedent for H-1B and Green Card sponsorship, making them the most reliable entry points for visa-dependent candidates.
Understand which visa types DoorDash supports
DoorDash sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Knowing which category fits your background before applying lets you ask informed questions and signal you've done the homework.
Apply during DoorDash's primary hiring cycles
Like most large tech companies, DoorDash recruits most heavily in late summer and fall for full-time roles. Timing your application ahead of the H-1B cap season in early April gives your sponsorship process the maximum runway.
Highlight specialty occupation alignment in your resume
DoorDash sponsors roles that qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. Tailor your resume to emphasize degree-specific expertise in your field, this strengthens the employer's case when filing your H-1B petition.
Use verified sponsorship data to prioritize your job search
Not every DoorDash role listing will mention visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Ask about Green Card sponsorship timelines during the offer stage
DoorDash has a strong track record sponsoring both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. If you're planning long-term U.S. residency, the offer stage is the right moment to ask about PERM initiation timelines and the company's standard process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas and has done so consistently across multiple hiring cycles. The company is among the more active H-1B sponsors in the U.S. technology sector, with sponsorship concentrated in engineering, data, and product roles. If you're on OPT or need H-1B transfer, DoorDash is a realistic target, particularly for technical positions where the specialty occupation requirement is straightforward to establish.
What types of visas does DoorDash sponsor?
DoorDash sponsors a broad range of visa types, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, TN visa, J-1 visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. The company also has an active Green Card program supporting EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. This range makes DoorDash a viable option for candidates from Australia, Canada, Chile, Singapore, and beyond, not just those eligible for the standard H-1B.
Which departments or roles at DoorDash are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at DoorDash is most common in technical departments: software engineering, data science, machine learning, and product management. These roles map cleanly to specialty occupation requirements, which makes the H-1B filing process more straightforward for the employer. Business, operations, and marketing roles are sponsored less frequently, though it does happen. Candidates in technical fields will find the strongest sponsorship precedent.
How do I find visa-sponsored job openings at DoorDash?
Start by browsing DoorDash's careers page and filtering for roles in technical departments where sponsorship is most common. For a faster and more reliable approach, Migrate Mate lets you search verified sponsoring employers and filter directly for DoorDash openings where visa sponsorship is confirmed based on historical filing data, so you're not guessing from vague job description language.
How do I know if DoorDash will sponsor my specific visa type before applying?
DoorDash's sponsorship history covers multiple visa categories, so your eligibility depends on your nationality and status. Australians should look for E-3 eligibility, Canadians and Mexicans for TN, and most others for H-1B. If you're on OPT or CPT, DoorDash has a track record with F-1 candidates as well. The safest approach is to raise your visa type during the recruiter screen, DoorDash's talent team is experienced with international hiring and can confirm early.
