Frame your credentials around measurable deal outcomes
DoorDash Business Development roles emphasize pipeline ownership and closed revenue. Before applying, document specific partnerships you've sourced, negotiated, or closed. Quantified deal value and merchant growth metrics make your sponsorship case easier for a hiring manager to champion internally.
Target DoorDash's merchant and enterprise partnership verticals
DoorDash's BD hiring concentrates on restaurant group expansion, grocery, and convenience retail partnerships. Applying to roles aligned with your industry background increases your interview odds and gives you a credible angle when visa sponsorship comes up in recruiter conversations.
Understand which visa applies to your situation before interviews
DoorDash sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT among others. Knowing which category fits your nationality and degree lets you answer recruiter questions confidently. Mixing up E-3 eligibility requirements or TN qualifying occupations creates unnecessary friction at the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
DoorDash's Business Development openings span multiple markets and seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter current listings by your specific visa category so you're applying to roles where your work authorization situation is already expected and accommodated.
Time your F-1 OPT application to align with DoorDash's offer process
F-1 students should file the OPT EAD application with USCIS at least 90 days before their program end date. DoorDash's hiring cycles for BD roles can run six to ten weeks, so starting your USCIS application before you receive an offer prevents authorization gaps.
Confirm LCA filing details are accurate before your start date
For H-1B and E-3 sponsorship, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the offered wage meets prevailing wage levels for your work location. If DoorDash assigns you to a different city than originally listed, the LCA must be updated before you begin working there.

Find Business Development Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Managers. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field, which satisfies the core H-1B eligibility standard. Sponsorship decisions are made at the role level, so confirming sponsorship availability with your recruiter early in the process is the right move.
How do I apply for Business Development Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal. Most BD roles require a resume tailored to partnership development, account growth, or strategic sales outcomes. Migrate Mate lists DoorDash's open Business Development Manager positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you identify the right openings before going to the company's portal directly.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly use for Business Development Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors several visa categories for this function, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and F-1 OPT for recent graduates. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 is also part of DoorDash's longer-term immigration support for qualifying employees.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for a sponsored Business Development Manager?
DoorDash typically looks for candidates with experience in partnership development, B2B sales, or strategic account management, often within technology, marketplace, or logistics-adjacent industries. A bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field is standard. Roles at the senior level generally expect demonstrated experience owning deals end-to-end, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Business Development Manager roles at DoorDash?
DoorDash's interview process for BD roles typically spans six to ten weeks from first screen to offer. H-1B petitions filed under regular processing take three to six months for USCIS adjudication, while premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. E-3 and TN sponsorship moves faster since those are consular-based and don't require a USCIS petition, often completing within two to four weeks of an approved LCA.
