Mid-Enterprise Account Executive (Hospitality)
At Klaviyo, we believe every guest interaction is an opportunity to build a more loyal relationship. That mindset starts with our Sales team—and we're growing our Hospitality vertical.
We're looking for a Mid-Enterprise Account Executive to join our Hospitality team, selling into hotel groups, restaurant brands, and wellness operators, who are rethinking how they connect with guests. This is more than closing deals. It's an opportunity to shape Klaviyo's presence in one of the most relationship-driven industries in the world.
From first touch to signed agreement, you'll own the full sales cycle—partnering closely with Solutions, Customer Success, Partnerships, and R&D to drive long-term guest revenue for our customers.
You'll be selling to mid-enterprise hospitality brands: independent hotel groups, regional and national restaurant operators, and wellness and spa networks. These are companies where the gap between their current CRM and what Klaviyo can deliver is enormous—and your job is to make that case.
What You'll Do and How You'll Make a Difference:
- Transform guest marketing workflows by putting AI at the center—building smarter automation, segmentation, and personalization systems from the ground up
- Continuously experiment with AI tools, sharing insights that keep the team ahead of the curve and applying AI fluency to do more meaningful, high-impact selling work
- Build and grow Klaviyo's Mid-Enterprise Hospitality client base across Hotel & Travel, Food & Beverage, and Wellness
- Drive full-cycle sales: prospecting, discovery, demo, negotiation, and close—with a strong self-sourced pipeline motion
- Create and execute vertical-specific territory and account strategies, targeting brands on modern PMS, Online Ordering, and Booking platforms and displacing legacy guest CRM vendors
- Partner cross-functionally with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, and our Hospitality division to deliver a world-class buying experience
- Bring market and competitive intelligence back to Product and PMM to influence the hospitality roadmap
Who You Are / Required Experience:
- You've already experimented with AI in your work and you're hungry to go deeper—using it to prospect smarter, shorten deal cycles, and bring sharper business cases to the table
- You don't wait to be told what to try—you explore, test, and share what works
- Based in Boston, MA and available to be in-office 3 days/week
- 6+ years of closing experience in SaaS or MarTech, with at least 2 years selling into hospitality, travel, or consumer-experience brands
- Familiarity with the hospitality tech stack (PMS, CDP, loyalty, reservation platforms) is a strong plus
- Proven hunter: you build pipeline from self-generated leads through close, and you're comfortable owning a cold vertical
- Experienced navigating multi-stakeholder deals—GMs, CMOs, Revenue Managers, and IT all have a seat at the table in hospitality
- Fluent in technical selling: able to connect PMS integrations, guest data infrastructure, and CRM migration to business outcomes
- Resilient, curious, and energized by building something new in a vertical with massive whitespace
- A natural relationship-builder who earns trust with operators, not just executives

Frame your experience around SaaS pipeline metrics
Klaviyo's BDM hiring focuses heavily on outbound pipeline generation and revenue attribution. Before applying, quantify your results in terms SaaS hiring managers recognize: qualified opportunities created, conversion rates from outreach to discovery calls, and average deal size influenced.
Target Klaviyo's SMB and mid-market segments first
Klaviyo structures its sales org across market segments. BDM roles tied to SMB and mid-market pipelines tend to open more frequently than enterprise-facing positions, giving you more entry points and a faster path from application to offer.
Confirm H-1B sponsorship willingness before final rounds
Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas, but individual hiring managers don't always control that conversation. Ask the recruiter directly during the initial screen whether the specific BDM role is approved for H-1B sponsorship, not after you've completed multiple interview rounds.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
H-1B registration opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date for approved petitions. If you're applying without current work authorization, align your offer timeline so your start date falls on or after October 1 to avoid authorization gaps.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open BDM roles by sponsorship history
Not every BDM posting at Klaviyo reflects the same sponsorship appetite. Use Migrate Mate to identify which roles and teams have actively sponsored visa holders, so you're spending your time on applications with a genuine path to authorization.
Prepare your credentials for EB-2 or EB-3 early in the process
Klaviyo sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for qualifying employees. If you're targeting long-term U.S. residency, gather degree certificates, employment verification letters, and performance records now. PERM labor certification requires detailed documentation and takes well over a year to complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Klaviyo sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Managers?
Yes, Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Manager roles. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions in this function. BDM positions typically qualify under the specialty occupation standard given the combination of strategic sales knowledge and technical product understanding required. Confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role with the recruiter early in the process, before investing time in later interview rounds.
How do I apply for Business Development Manager jobs at Klaviyo?
Applications go through Klaviyo's careers portal, where BDM roles are listed by segment and region. Migrate Mate also surfaces open BDM positions at Klaviyo filtered by visa sponsorship history, which helps you prioritize roles where sponsorship is actively on the table. Tailor your application to Klaviyo's go-to-market motion, specifically outbound pipeline development for its email and SMS marketing platform.
Which visa types does Klaviyo commonly sponsor for Business Development Managers?
Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas for temporary work authorization and both EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for employees pursuing a Green Card. H-1B is the most common path for BDMs entering the U.S. on a new employer petition. EB-2 and EB-3 typically come into play after an employee has been with the company for some time and the employer files a PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor.
What qualifications does Klaviyo look for in Business Development Manager candidates?
Klaviyo generally looks for experience in outbound sales development or business development within a SaaS or technology environment. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is standard, and experience with CRM tools like Salesforce is consistently referenced in job descriptions. Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from scratch and fluency in email marketing or e-commerce market dynamics are both strong differentiators for this specific role.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a role at Klaviyo?
Timeline depends on the visa type. An H-1B petition filed during the standard cap cycle involves registration in March, a lottery in April, and a start date no earlier than October 1. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication to around 15 business days once a petition is filed. For Green Card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3, the PERM process alone typically takes one to two years before an I-140 petition can be filed.
