About the Team
DoorDash for Business is building the premier corporate dining and benefits platform—helping companies of all sizes feed their teams through industry-leading products and meal programs. Our mission is to become the go-to solution for executives, administrators, and employees who need seamless, high-quality food programs at work. We move fast, operate with an ownership mindset, and are growing new product lines to better serve our corporate customers.
About the Role
At DoorDash for Business, we believe that the reliability and quality of our service is our competitive advantage, and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about digging into the data to root cause operations and delivery problems in order to create a seamless experience for customers and merchants alike. As an Associate for the Catering team, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving delivery quality, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, support new delivery models, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of quality improvement strategies.
Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. You can one day be sizing the impact of new delivery models on quality improvements, then leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by building from the ground up, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and excited to shape how two high-priority product lines grow.
You will report into the Manager, Strategy & Operations for DoorDash for Business and can work remotely or hybrid depending preference.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own quality improvement workstreams: that address the most unique and challenging questions within two new high-stakes DoorDash for Business product lines
- Run experiments and operations tests: assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for improving on-time delivery and setup quality
- Support execution at scale: after proving out a concept, translating the wins into scalable solutions that we can apply across the entire network.
- Drive analytical rigor: by building and owning models that track initiative success, key quality metrics, weekly and annual costs, and support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor network performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships: by regularly partnering with Logistics, LiveOps, Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams to build quarterly roadmaps, scope and assess initiatives that can improve the quality of our logistics system
We're excited about you because…
- You're strategic and process-oriented – You can break down challenging problems, build hypotheses supported by data, and implement experiments while keeping our teams aligned and informed with your work.
- You're highly analytical – You are fluent in data and modeling (Excel, SQL, Python, Sigma, or network modeling tools) and use it to ground your decisions.
- You thrive in scaling environments – You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and building solutions in uncharted territory.
- You're cross-functional – You've led initiatives that align operations, product, and finance around a shared strategy.

We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.

We're committed to supporting employees' happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks including premium healthcare, wellness expense reimbursement, paid parental leave and more.

Statement of Non-Discrimination: In keeping with our beliefs and goals, no employee or applicant will face discrimination or harassment based on: race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital/domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability status, or veteran status. Above and beyond discrimination and harassment based on "protected categories," we also strive to prevent other subtler forms of inappropriate behavior (i.e., stereotyping) from ever gaining a foothold in our office. Whether blatant or hidden, barriers to success have no place at DoorDash. We value a diverse workforce – people who identify as women, non-binary or gender non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, American Indian or Native Alaskan, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, differently-abled, caretakers and parents, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Thank you to the Level Playing Field Institute for this statement of non-discrimination.
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.

Frame your experience in marketplace terms
DoorDash Strategy roles demand fluency in two-sided marketplace dynamics, unit economics, and merchant or dasher growth levers. Reframe prior consulting or corporate strategy experience around these themes before applying, not after you've landed an interview.
Target teams with active LCA filings
Search the DOL OFLC disclosure database for DoorDash Labor Condition Applications in strategy and operations job titles. Active LCA filings signal which teams are hiring internationally and have already cleared the prevailing wage certification process.
Distinguish your visa category early in conversations
DoorDash sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visas, each with different timelines and employer obligations. Clarifying your category in the offer negotiation stage prevents misaligned expectations and gives the recruiting team time to route your petition correctly.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Strategy roles
Strategy openings at DoorDash cycle quickly and aren't always flagged as sponsorship-friendly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for DoorDash Strategy positions that have a confirmed sponsorship track record so you're applying to the right roles from the start.
Align your application timing with H-1B cap windows
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, DoorDash must register you in the USCIS lottery that opens in March for an October 1 start. Timing your final-round interviews to land in December through February gives both sides enough runway before the registration deadline.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for your role
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Strategy titles more than engineering roles. Work with DoorDash's immigration counsel before your petition is filed to document why the specific role requires a degree in a directly related field, not just any bachelor's degree.

Find Strategy at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Strategys?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file cap-subject petitions through the USCIS annual lottery, with an October 1 start date for selected registrations. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, DoorDash can file a transfer petition outside the lottery, which significantly shortens the timeline.
How do I apply for Strategy jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal. Strategy roles typically require case-style interviews focused on marketplace economics and business prioritization. You can also use Migrate Mate to find open DoorDash Strategy positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves time identifying roles where your immigration status is already a fit before you apply.
Which visa types are commonly used for Strategy roles at DoorDash?
DoorDash sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas across its workforce. For Strategy roles specifically, H-1B is the most common path for nationals of most countries. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 as a faster, lottery-free alternative, while Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN category depending on their role and degree field.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Strategy roles?
DoorDash Strategy roles typically require a bachelor's degree in economics, business, mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with an MBA or advanced degree valued for senior positions. Practical experience in management consulting, investment banking, or tech company strategy is common among successful candidates. The role demands strong analytical skills and comfort working with large operational datasets in a fast-moving environment.
How do I navigate the visa sponsorship process timeline for a DoorDash Strategy offer?
The timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT candidates can start quickly if authorization is already in place. H-1B transfers for candidates already in status typically process in two to four weeks with premium processing. New H-1B petitions tied to the annual cap require registration in March and a start date no earlier than October 1. Align your offer acceptance and notice period with these windows to avoid gaps.
