About the Team
At DoorDash, our people are at the heart of everything we do. With operations spanning 40+ countries, ensuring smooth and compliant immigration is critical to our growth. The Global Immigration pillar within our Global Mobility & Immigration (GMI) team manages immigration strategy and operations worldwide, partnering with employees, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that enable global workforce agility.
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Immigration Program Manager to join the Global Immigration pillar. In this role, you'll focus on managing our high-volume US immigration program, working closely with employees, managers, and vendors to ensure timely and compliant processes. You'll also contribute to improving how we track, report, and scale immigration support across the business. You'll own and drive the execution of our US immigration program, with opportunities to expand into the wider Americas region over time.
You will report into the Global Immigration Manager on our Global Mobility & Immigration team in the People Operations.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- You'll take full ownership of our US immigration program - managing day-to-day immigration cases (work visas, green cards, compliance tracking) in close partnership with employees, managers, recruiters, and vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and employee-friendly processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for complex immigration scenarios and serve as the internal point of contact, providing clear guidance on immigration processes, policies, and timelines.
- Support process improvements, data accuracy, and reporting across our immigration portfolio.
- Contribute to scalable practices as our team grows, proactively identifying program gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Be part of a supportive and fast-paced global People team that values collaboration and innovative problem-solving.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Talent Acquisition) and our larger GMI team to ensure alignment and compliance.
We're excited about you because…
- You have at least 4-6 years of experience in US immigration (e.g., at a law firm, vendor, or in-house program) within a high-volume environment.
- You've supported or managed high-volume immigration programs and thrive on taking ownership of day-to-day execution with accuracy and reliability.
- You have deep expertise in common US nonimmigrant visa categories (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1), as well as experience managing large PERM and immigrant visa programs.
- You stay up to date with the latest changes in the US immigration landscape to identify potential areas of risk and plan mitigation strategies.
- You're able to manage multiple cases at once with accuracy and care, and you communicate clearly and collaboratively with employees and partners.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and are eager to grow your scope over time.
- You have experience with case management systems or centralized vendor platforms to manage immigration cases efficiently.
- You're a collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally and continuously improving how immigration programs operate.
- You're curious and open to thoughtfully using AI tools to enhance efficiency, insights, and impact in your work.
We expect to fill this position by 6/20/2026.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Human Resources Manager Jobs at DoorDash Jobs
Frame your HR credentials for U.S. roles
U.S. HR Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. If your degree is from outside the U.S., confirm equivalency before applying so USCIS specialty occupation requirements don't catch you off guard.
Target DoorDash's HR business partner openings
DoorDash structures HR around business partnering for its tech, operations, and logistics divisions. Roles tied to a specific business unit are more likely to advance sponsorship conversations than generalist postings, because the hiring need is concrete and time-sensitive.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter DoorDash Human Resources Manager openings by visa type. You can identify which roles align with your current status, whether F-1 OPT, H-1B, or TN, before investing time in a full application.
Clarify your visa status early in interviews
DoorDash sponsors multiple visa categories, so naming your current status upfront saves time for both sides. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility and remaining authorized period before the offer stage to avoid delays with E-Verify compliance.
Account for PERM timelines if targeting a Green Card
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires PERM labor certification through DOL before an I-140 can be filed. At a company the size of DoorDash, internal HR headcount decisions often move faster than PERM timelines, so raise long-term sponsorship intent early in the process.
Prepare for DoorDash's structured hiring process
DoorDash uses multi-round interviews for HR Manager roles, including behavioral and cross-functional panels. Arrive with documented examples of managing employee relations, workforce planning, or compliance programs in a technology or high-growth environment to align with what their HR teams actually handle.

Find Human Resources Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Human Resources Manager roles. The position generally qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. DoorDash also sponsors H-1B1 and E-3 visas for candidates from eligible countries, giving you additional pathways depending on your nationality.
Which visa types are commonly used for Human Resources Manager roles at DoorDash?
DoorDash has a history of sponsoring H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for HR roles. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories. If you're pursuing permanent residence, DoorDash also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which require PERM labor certification through DOL before the immigrant petition can be filed.
What qualifications and experience does DoorDash expect for Human Resources Manager roles?
DoorDash typically looks for HR Managers with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration, plus several years of HR business partnering experience. Exposure to high-growth technology or logistics environments is a strong differentiator. Experience managing employee relations, supporting workforce planning, or driving compliance programs across multiple business units tends to align well with how DoorDash structures its HR function.
How do I apply for Human Resources Manager jobs at DoorDash?
You can browse and apply for Human Resources Manager openings at DoorDash through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm the position fits your status before applying. DoorDash's hiring process for HR Manager roles typically includes a recruiter screen, behavioral interviews with HR leadership, and cross-functional panel rounds. Having your visa documentation and authorized work period details ready before the offer stage keeps the process moving efficiently.
How do I time my application if my OPT is running out?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period before applying. DoorDash is enrolled in E-Verify, so employment can only begin once authorization is confirmed. If you have STEM OPT eligibility, a 24-month extension gives you a longer runway for an H-1B cap-season filing. USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year, so align your application timeline to have an offer in place before that window.
