Frame your HR credentials for U.S. retail
lululemon evaluates HR Managers on their ability to handle high-volume hourly hiring and labor compliance across multi-site retail environments. Translate your experience into those terms before you apply, using U.S. HR terminology like FLSA compliance, HRIS platforms, and employee relations.
Target corporate and regional HR openings
lululemon's HR Manager roles span store-level, regional, and corporate tracks. Corporate and regional positions in Vancouver-headquartered functions or U.S. offices are more likely to include sponsorship flexibility than single-store roles with tighter headcount budgets.
Search sponsored HR roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by lululemon and Human Resources Manager on Migrate Mate to surface only the open roles where sponsorship has been confirmed. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to listings that don't mention visa support.
Raise sponsorship timing early in interviews
Ask the recruiter in the first screen whether the role is open to H-1B transfers or new cap-subject filings. lululemon's HR team handles this internally, so they can clarify quickly rather than escalating to outside counsel late in the process.
Understand how PERM affects retail HR timelines
If you're pursuing a Green Card through lululemon, the PERM labor certification requires DOL to confirm no qualified U.S. workers were available for your exact role. Start that conversation with HR before or during the offer stage, not after onboarding.

Does lululemon sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers?
Yes, lululemon sponsors H-1B visas for Human Resources Manager roles. HR Manager positions at lululemon typically qualify as specialty occupations because they require a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Sponsorship availability can vary by role level and location, so confirm with the recruiter during initial screening whether the specific opening supports H-1B filing or transfer.
How do I apply for Human Resources Manager jobs at lululemon?
Applications go through lululemon's careers site, where you can filter by function and location. You can also browse open Human Resources Manager roles at lululemon that include visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only positions where sponsorship support has been confirmed. Tailor your resume to reflect multi-site HR experience, retail labor compliance, and HRIS platform proficiency before applying.
Which visa types does lululemon typically use for Human Resources Manager roles?
lululemon sponsors H-1B visas for Human Resources Manager positions, and for candidates pursuing permanent residence, EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories are the most common pathways. EB-2 applies if your role requires an advanced degree or specialized expertise. EB-3 covers positions requiring a standard bachelor's degree. Both routes involve PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does lululemon expect for a Human Resources Manager?
lululemon typically looks for a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or business administration, along with progressive HR experience in a retail or high-volume service environment. Familiarity with U.S. employment law, experience managing employee relations across multiple locations, and proficiency with HRIS platforms are consistently reflected in their job postings. PHR or SHRM-CP certification strengthens your application but is rarely listed as a hard requirement.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a lululemon HR Manager role?
For H-1B transfers from an existing visa, processing through USCIS takes three to six months with regular service, or two to three weeks with premium processing. For cap-subject H-1B filings, the process begins in March with lottery registration, and work authorization starts October 1 if selected. Green Card sponsorship through PERM adds significantly more time, often one to three years depending on your priority date and country of birth.
