Your Role at Sephora:
Ready for a career glow up? As a Field HR Communications Manager, you'll lead HR communication strategies that keep our field teams informed, inspired, and connected. The work you do will impact beauty, as you serve as the primary communications lead for labor relations across both Stores and Distribution Centers. What You'll Do:
- Solely manage labor relations and HR communications for the DC workforce, operating as both a strategist and executional expert with a high degree of self-direction
- Own the planning, creation, and distribution of internal communications for DC audiences that inform, inspire, and connect employees to Sephora's business and culture — ensuring all content is clear, engaging, and aligned to Sephora's voice and values
- Own the labor relations communications strategy end-to-end, including editorial planning, writing, editing, and managing content distributed to field employees during LR issues
- Develop and maintain a Labor Relations Communications Playbook for use across the Sephora organization, in accordance with applicable labor laws, including influencing the content and processes contained within
- Lead integrated internal communication campaigns that build awareness of key initiatives and strengthen employee engagement across Store and DC organizations, including print and digital communications
- Partner with the Senior Director of Communications & Employee Experience and VP of External Communications on brand and reputational risk, ensuring consistency across external messaging
What You'll Bring:
- 6–9 years of experience in communications, PR, or a related field
- Proven experience working with labor relations and field teams, specifically owning labor relations communication strategies
- Strong understanding of labor relations and employment legal complexities
- Experience working within or closely with a distribution center or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of the nuances of communicating to a diverse employee population operating 24/7 across multiple time zones and work locations
- A Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with email or digital publishing tools such as SharePoint, Mailchimp, LumApps, or Zipline
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration platforms, and experience with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently in a remote based position and travel as needed

Frame Your HR Credentials for U.S. Standards
Sephora's HR teams operate under U.S. labor law, so translate your experience into American frameworks. Highlight familiarity with FLSA compliance, at-will employment, and EEOC practices on your resume rather than relying on equivalent terms from your home country.
Target Sephora Roles Tied to Store Expansion
Sephora regularly opens new retail locations, which drives demand for HR Managers overseeing hiring surges and onboarding infrastructure. Roles tied to market expansion or field HR support tend to have more active headcount and move faster through the offer process.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness Before Final Interviews
Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific HR Manager role is approved for visa sponsorship. Sponsorship eligibility can vary by business unit or location within a large retail organization, so confirming early prevents wasted time late in the process.
Prepare for PERM Documentation from Day One
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, understand that PERM requires Sephora to document a competitive recruitment process. Keep records of your application, offer letter, and any role description changes, as DOL audits often request this evidence.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Active Openings
HR Manager roles at Sephora appear across corporate and field tracks and don't always stay open long. Use Migrate Mate to filter current Sephora postings by sponsorship eligibility so you're applying to roles where international candidates are genuinely being considered.
Time Your H-1B Transfer Around Sephora's Hiring Cycles
If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Sephora can file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the April lottery. Retail HR hiring often accelerates ahead of holiday season, so targeting Q2 and Q3 application windows improves your chances of landing an active offer in time.

Find Human Resources Manager at Sephora JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sephora sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers?
Yes, Sephora sponsors H-1B visas for Human Resources Manager roles. HR Managers typically qualify under the specialty occupation standard because the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Sponsorship availability can vary by role level and business unit, so confirming with the recruiter early in the process is the most reliable way to verify eligibility for a specific opening.
How do I apply for Human Resources Manager jobs at Sephora?
Applications go through Sephora's careers portal, where HR Manager roles are listed by location and function, covering both corporate and field-based positions. You can also browse Sephora's active sponsorship-eligible openings through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where international candidates are being considered. Tailoring your application to highlight U.S. HR compliance experience and retail workforce management will strengthen your candidacy.
Which visa types does Sephora commonly use for Human Resources Manager roles?
Sephora most commonly uses the H-1B for HR Managers already in the U.S. or transferring from another employer. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories are the standard pathways, typically initiated after a period of H-1B employment. The EB-3 route requires completing the PERM labor certification process through the Department of Labor before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does Sephora expect for Human Resources Manager candidates requiring sponsorship?
Sephora's HR Manager roles generally require a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business, or a closely related field, along with several years of progressive HR experience. For sponsorship purposes, your degree must directly relate to the role's core duties to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Experience managing employee relations, supporting multi-location retail operations, or leading talent acquisition teams is particularly relevant for Sephora's business model.
How do I handle the H-1B timeline when targeting a Human Resources Manager role at Sephora?
If you need a new H-1B cap-subject petition, the annual lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date, meaning you'd need an offer secured by late February or early March. If you're transferring an existing H-1B from another employer, Sephora can file a portability petition at any point in the year and you can begin work once USCIS receives it, without waiting for approval. USCIS premium processing, which targets a 15-business-day adjudication, is available if your start date is time-sensitive.
