Frame your PM credentials around delivery operations
DoorDash evaluates Project Managers on cross-functional execution in fast-moving logistics environments. Tailor your resume to show experience coordinating between engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams, not just project tracking.
Target roles tied to platform or merchant growth
DoorDash's merchant and platform expansion teams run high-velocity projects with defined deliverables, which means structured headcount planning and more predictable visa filing timelines compared to newly formed teams.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your start date
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS only accepts petitions in April for an October 1 start. If DoorDash extends an offer in summer or fall, negotiate a deferred start or confirm whether a cap-exempt path applies to your situation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open PM roles by sponsorship type
DoorDash lists Project Manager roles across multiple teams and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter by the visa categories DoorDash actively sponsors, so you're applying to roles where your status is already accounted for in their hiring process.
Get your specialty occupation documentation ready early
USCIS scrutinizes whether Project Manager roles qualify as specialty occupations. A degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field paired with a job description requiring that specific background strengthens your petition significantly.

Find Project Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company has a documented pattern of filing across both cap-subject and transfer cases. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, DoorDash can file an H-1B transfer so you can start before USCIS issues a final approval, as long as you port during the 60-day portability window.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Project Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for Project Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. They also support Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process for eligible employees on longer-term immigrant visa pathways.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Project Manager roles?
DoorDash typically looks for Project Managers with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or computer science, combined with hands-on experience managing cross-functional projects in a technology or operations environment. For senior roles, experience leading initiatives at scale across product, engineering, and operations teams carries significant weight in the evaluation process.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at DoorDash?
You can browse and apply for Project Manager roles at DoorDash through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles where your immigration status is supported. When applying, align your resume to DoorDash's logistics and platform context, and be prepared to discuss your authorization status and timeline early in the recruiter screen.
How do I manage the timing of visa sponsorship when starting at DoorDash?
Timing depends on your current status. F-1 OPT students should track their OPT expiration and cap-gap eligibility closely if an H-1B is filed on their behalf. TN and E-3 holders can often start quickly since those categories are not subject to the annual lottery. For cap-subject H-1B cases, plan for an October 1 start and discuss deferred start options with your recruiter if an offer comes outside the petition window.
