- Learn from the front to enhance our customers’ and employees’ experiences. While guiding across many functions, our leaders remain as customer obsessed as our front line sellers. As a sales leader, you will leverage your own learnings from conversations with merchants as well as scaled learnings from other teams to build processes and programs that help make our merchants’ and peoples’ lives easier.
- See around corners for the team. Whether planning for the next quarter, for the next year with new products, or for several years down with new organizations, this role will be responsible for building and scaling our In Store Account Development team into the future.

- You have experience working directly with restaurants and hospitality groups, understanding their needs and identifying gaps in their operations.
- You’re able to work with a cross-functional team and guarantee a smooth transition for new restaurant partners.
- You are comfortable with sales tools like Salesforce, Google Suite, and general data analysis.

Align your portfolio to DoorDash's product pillars
DoorDash organizes product work around consumer, merchant, and Dasher experiences. Frame your portfolio around marketplace or logistics platforms specifically. Reviewers prioritize candidates whose past work maps directly to one of these verticals.
Confirm your visa category before applying
DoorDash sponsors multiple visa types for this role, including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Identify which category fits your situation before your first recruiter call so you can address sponsorship logistics confidently without stalling the process.
Time your OPT application window carefully
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS allows you to apply up to 90 days before your program end date. Starting your job search early enough to receive an offer and complete onboarding before your OPT begins prevents gaps in work authorization.
Prepare a specialty occupation case for your credentials
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for product management roles because the degree-to-job link isn't always obvious. Document how your specific degree, whether computer science, engineering, or business, directly supports the technical product development responsibilities in the job description.
Search verified DoorDash openings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Product Development Manager roles at DoorDash that are confirmed open to visa sponsorship. This narrows your search to positions where sponsorship is already on the table, saving time during a tight authorization window.
Request the LCA filing timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. Ask DoorDash's recruiting coordinator for the expected LCA certification timeline so you can sequence your start date realistically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Product Development Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Product Development Manager roles. The company has a consistent pattern of filing petitions for product and technology positions. If you're in the H-1B lottery or seeking a cap-exempt transfer from another employer, DoorDash is a realistic sponsoring employer for this function.
How do I apply for Product Development Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Apply directly through DoorDash's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to browse open Product Development Manager positions that are confirmed to offer visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to the specific product vertical listed in the job description, whether consumer, merchant, logistics, or Dasher-facing, and address sponsorship requirements proactively in your recruiter screen.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly use for Product Development Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, TN visa, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas for this role. The right category depends on your nationality and situation. Australians and Chileans or Singaporeans may find E-3 visa or H-1B1 visa a faster path than the H-1B lottery, since those categories are not subject to the annual cap.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for a Product Development Manager?
DoorDash typically looks for experience owning product roadmaps in high-growth technology environments, with a strong preference for candidates who've worked on marketplace, logistics, or platform infrastructure. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case and is generally expected at the manager level.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a DoorDash Product Development Manager role?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow USCIS's annual lottery cycle, with employment starting no earlier than October 1. Premium processing, currently available for H-1B, reduces the USCIS adjudication window to 15 business days. E-3 and TN processing at a U.S. consulate can move faster, often within a few weeks of an approved offer.
