Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Product Software Engineer Jobs at DoorDash Jobs
Align your portfolio to DoorDash's product areas
DoorDash Product Software Engineer roles cluster around consumer checkout, merchant tooling, logistics, and payments. Tailor your projects and resume to show ownership of product-facing features, not just infrastructure work, before you apply.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
F-1 OPT authorization requires your employer to be E-Verify enrolled. Confirm DoorDash's enrollment status through the official E-Verify employer search before your offer stage to avoid delays in activating your work authorization.
Request premium processing if your start date is firm
USCIS premium processing cuts the I-129 adjudication window to 15 business days. If DoorDash sets a hard onboarding date, ask your recruiter early whether the offer timeline assumes standard or premium processing so you can plan accordingly.
Target roles with cross-functional product scope
DoorDash Product Software Engineer postings that list collaboration with product managers and designers are stronger H-1B specialty occupation cases. Roles with narrow execution scope can draw USCIS scrutiny on whether a bachelor's degree in a specific field is required.
Use Migrate Mate to filter DoorDash openings by visa type
DoorDash posts Product Software Engineer roles across multiple teams simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter current openings by the specific visa type you hold so you can focus on positions where your work authorization is an active fit.

Find Product Software Engineer at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Product Software Engineer roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file I-129 petitions and has a consistent pattern of supporting engineers through both the initial cap-subject lottery and cap-exempt transfers from other H-1B employers. Confirm sponsorship availability with your recruiter at the offer stage, since practices can differ by team or hiring cycle.
How do I apply for Product Software Engineer jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal, where Product Software Engineer roles are listed by team and location. Migrate Mate also aggregates DoorDash's open roles filtered by visa sponsorship type, which makes it easier to identify positions that match your current work authorization. The interview process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments, and a product-focused system design round.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Product Software Engineers?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for this role, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian citizens, and TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying categories. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and can file EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant petitions for longer-term permanent residence pathways.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Product Software Engineer roles?
DoorDash's Product Software Engineer postings typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, which also supports the H-1B specialty occupation requirement. Beyond credentials, DoorDash looks for engineers who can work directly with product and design teams, own features end to end, and build at scale. Experience with consumer-facing products, distributed systems, or marketplace platforms is frequently cited in job descriptions.
How do I time my visa filing if I receive an offer from DoorDash?
Timing depends on your current status. Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed for an October 1 start date, so offers made outside the April filing window may require you to extend OPT or bridge through another status. E-3 and TN petitions can be filed year-round without a lottery. Clarify your start date constraints with DoorDash's immigration team as early as the offer negotiation stage to avoid a gap in work authorization.
