Align your portfolio with fintech engineering
Synechron operates at the intersection of financial services and software engineering. Projects involving payment systems, core banking platforms, or capital markets applications will read stronger to their hiring teams than general-purpose software work.
Clarify CPT and OPT eligibility before applying
Synechron sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but your program of study must directly tie to the Product Software Engineer role. Confirm your DSO has authorized the specific position type before your first interview to avoid delays at the offer stage.
Ask about H-1B cap-exempt project placements
Consulting firms sometimes place engineers at qualifying nonprofit or government clients, which can affect H-1B cap-exempt status. Clarify whether your placement client is cap-exempt during negotiations so you understand whether a lottery cycle applies to you.
Prepare your PERM documentation early for EB roles
If you're targeting EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, USCIS and DOL require your employer to run a PERM labor certification before filing. Start gathering your education credentials, foreign degree evaluations, and employment history well before an offer is in hand.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter open Product Software Engineer roles at Synechron by your specific visa type on Migrate Mate. This saves time by surfacing only positions where sponsorship is confirmed, rather than applying broadly and discovering eligibility gaps after an interview.
Negotiate your start date around I-129 processing windows
H-1B transfers and new petitions filed with USCIS take 3 to 6 months in regular processing. When you receive an offer, build that window into your proposed start date so neither you nor the employer is caught short before your authorization is valid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Synechron sponsor H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers?
Yes, Synechron sponsors H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers. The company operates in technology and financial services consulting, which relies heavily on specialized engineering talent, and H-1B is their primary pathway for sponsoring non-immigrant workers in this function. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Synechron can file an H-1B transfer petition, allowing you to start in most cases once the petition is received by USCIS.
How do I apply for Product Software Engineer jobs at Synechron?
You can browse open Product Software Engineer positions at Synechron on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Synechron's hiring process for this role typically includes a technical screen focused on software design and relevant domain knowledge, followed by interviews with their engineering and delivery teams. Having your visa documentation ready to discuss early in the process helps move things forward smoothly.
Which visa types does Synechron commonly sponsor for Product Software Engineer roles?
Synechron sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Product Software Engineers. H-1B is the most common long-term path for those entering or remaining in the U.S. workforce. F-1 OPT and CPT are available for students whose degree field aligns with the engineering role. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA in qualifying engineering classifications.
What qualifications does Synechron expect for Product Software Engineer roles?
Synechron's Product Software Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B petitions. In practice, Synechron operates heavily in financial technology, so experience with agile product delivery, API integration, or domain knowledge in banking or capital markets strengthens an application significantly beyond the baseline degree requirement.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Synechron as a Product Software Engineer?
Timeline depends on your current status. An H-1B transfer from an existing employer can allow you to start once USCIS receives the petition, typically within a few weeks of filing. A new H-1B cap-subject petition requires winning the annual lottery, with work authorization beginning October 1 of that fiscal year. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 involves DOL labor certification and can take one to three years before an I-140 petition is approved.
