Align your portfolio to Adobe's product lines
Adobe evaluates Product Software Engineers against specific platforms like Creative Cloud and Experience Cloud. Tailor your portfolio to show experience with developer tooling, APIs, or user-facing product features that map directly to Adobe's engineering surface area.
Time OPT applications around Adobe's hiring cycles
Adobe's product engineering teams hire heavily in Q1 and Q3. If you're on F-1 OPT, file your EAD application with USCIS at least 90 days before your program end date to avoid a gap that disqualifies you from offers requiring immediate start.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter Product Software Engineer roles at Adobe directly on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions by visa type so you only spend time on jobs where sponsorship for your specific status is confirmed, not assumed.
Prepare for Adobe's specialty occupation documentation early
H-1B petitions for Product Software Engineer roles require detailed specialty occupation evidence. Gather degree transcripts, a role description from your recruiter, and prior employment letters showing progression in software product development before your offer letter arrives.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March with an October 1 employment start date. Discuss this timeline explicitly with Adobe's talent team during the offer stage so both parties align on realistic onboarding expectations.

Find Product Software Engineer at Adobe JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Product Software Engineer roles. Product-focused software engineering positions at Adobe generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, given the degree requirements in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Adobe's legal and HR teams manage the petition process, though you should confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role during recruiter screening.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly sponsor for Product Software Engineer roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Product Software Engineers. The right category depends on your nationality and current immigration status. H-1B and E-3 are the most common pathways for full-time product engineering hires at large U.S. technology companies like Adobe.
How do I apply for Product Software Engineer jobs at Adobe?
Applications go through Adobe's careers portal, where Product Software Engineer roles are listed by product area and team. You can also browse open positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify roles where your specific visa type is supported before you apply. Expect a multi-round interview process covering system design, coding, and product thinking specific to Adobe's engineering culture.
What qualifications and experience does Adobe expect for Product Software Engineer roles?
Adobe Product Software Engineer positions typically require a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. Adobe places strong emphasis on full-stack or platform engineering experience, proficiency in languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python, and demonstrated ability to ship product features at scale. Experience contributing to developer-facing products or large-scale SaaS platforms is a common differentiator across Adobe's engineering job descriptions.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Adobe to sponsor my visa?
Timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization from USCIS can take up to 90 days, so apply before your program ends. H-1B sponsorship is tied to the annual cap with an October 1 start date, meaning offers typically need to be in place by March for the USCIS registration window. E-3 and TN visas move faster and can be processed at a consulate or port of entry, often within weeks of receiving an offer.
