INTRODUCTION
Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen. We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re the market leader in software products and services that power the world’s creative, document, and marketing ecosystems — from Creative Cloud and Document Cloud to Firefly, Express, and Experience Cloud. Over 85% of the Fortune 2000 rely on Adobe to fuel creativity, collaboration, and transformation. As AI reshapes the creative and media landscape, Adobe stands at the intersection of creativity, marketing, and artificial intelligence — making us a trusted partner to CEOs, CMOs, CTOs, Studio executives, key talent and known directors as well as the next generation of creative and business leaders.
We are looking for an incredible individual to drive thought leadership, innovation, and commercial partnerships that inspire and accelerate enterprise adoption of GenAI in creativity, film, and enterprises. We’re looking for a rare hybrid — a technically fluent creative leader with deep roots in filmmaking, Hollywood, YouTube, or digital storytelling — who knows how to bridge art and technology to open doors, build partnerships, and create momentum in the market. This person will be equal parts technologist, storyteller, and dealmaker — passionate about shaping the future of creativity, and skilled at translating innovation into business impact. A successful candidate will have the technical AI chops to be respected by our engineering and researchers, strong c-level relationship building skills, an ability to rally internal cross-functional partners, and a founder mentality.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Ignite new business and partnerships: Lead Firefly Foundry engagements from concept to commercial deal, collaborating with Adobe’s enterprise sales and creative leadership teams.
Bridge creative vision with technology: Translate the needs of filmmakers, studios, creators, and brands into Foundry use cases that showcase “the art of the possible.”
Shape Adobe’s role in the entertainment and creator ecosystem: Build trusted relationships across studios, media companies, YouTube creators, agencies, and enterprise partners.
Advise and evangelize: Serve as a GenAI authority and creative industry leader with vision — presenting at customer meetings, partner events, and major conferences.
Collaborate across the enterprise: Work closely with Adobe Research, Firefly engineering, marketing, and product teams to test, validate, and influence future product directions.
Be hands-on: Prototype creative solutions, demo Firefly APIs and integrations, and bring ideas to life with tangible visual and storytelling proof points.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- 10+ years of experience across creative technology, media, entertainment, or enterprise partnerships.
- A strong mix of technical fluency (AI, creative tools, APIs, cloud platforms) and creative depth (film, video, digital storytelling, YouTube, or content production).
- Proven success launching or scaling products or experiences — ideally in a startup, 0→1, or innovation lab environment.
- A network in the entertainment and creator ecosystem — and the confidence to navigate C-suite, studio, and creator conversations.
- Entrepreneurial outlook: a “player-coach” who rolls up their sleeves and thrives in ambiguity.
- High EQ, low ego, and a natural ability to connect teams, ideas, and opportunities.
- Comfort operating as both strategist and creative technologist, who can drive both impact and storytelling.
- Great teammate (roll up your sleeves, adaptable work style, lead via influence, excellent “connector”).

Align your background to Adobe's ecosystem strategy
Adobe's BD Director roles increasingly focus on partnerships with cloud platforms, agencies, and system integrators. Frame your experience around partner-led growth, co-sell motions, or ISV relationships rather than direct sales to stand out in screening.
Target roles within specific Adobe Clouds
Adobe hires BD Directors across Experience Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Document Cloud with distinct buyer profiles. Applying to the business unit where your industry vertical experience is strongest increases your fit signal and speeds recruiter triage.
Build a portfolio of enterprise deal metrics
Adobe's BD hiring managers look for documented impact: partnerships signed, pipeline influenced, or revenue attributed to alliance channels. Quantified outcomes specific to SaaS or digital experience technology carry more weight than title seniority alone.
Search sponsored BD roles through Migrate Mate
BD Director openings that include visa sponsorship are harder to filter on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse Adobe's current Business Development Director listings filtered by sponsorship eligibility, so you're not applying blind.

Find Business Development Director at Adobe JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Directors?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Directors. Adobe participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery each March, and BD roles qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines given their requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline. If selected in the lottery, your employment start date would be October 1 of that cap year.
How do I apply for Business Development Director jobs at Adobe?
Apply directly through Adobe's careers site or browse current openings with visa sponsorship filters on Migrate Mate. BD Director roles at Adobe typically require submitting a resume highlighting partner or alliance experience, often followed by a recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, and a panel loop covering strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and a business case presentation. Tailoring your application to the specific Adobe Cloud business unit you're targeting meaningfully improves response rates.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly use for Business Development Director roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas most commonly for professional business roles, including BD Directors. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which has no lottery and allows biennial renewal. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business categories. Adobe also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for early-career hires, and immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-tenured employees pursuing permanent residence.
What qualifications does Adobe look for in a Business Development Director?
Adobe typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field, with significant experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software partnerships. BD Director candidates are generally expected to demonstrate a track record of building and scaling alliance or channel programs, experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder deals, and familiarity with digital marketing or document workflow technologies relevant to Adobe's core product lines.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a BD Director role at Adobe?
Timeline depends on your visa type. For H-1B, the cap registration window opens in March and employment begins October 1 at the earliest, so plan for a six-month-plus runway from offer to start. E-3 and TN processing is faster, often two to six weeks through a U.S. consulate. Adobe's legal team files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before your petition is submitted, which adds one to two weeks to the front end of any H-1B filing.
