Align Your Portfolio to Platform Engineering
Roblox Product Software Engineer roles focus on developer tooling, creator infrastructure, and real-time systems. Tailor your portfolio to show ownership of platform-level features or SDKs, not just application-layer work.
Time OPT Applications Around Roblox Hiring Cycles
F-1 OPT has a 60-day grace period after employment ends. If you're transitioning between companies, plan your Roblox application so your start date falls well within your authorized period to avoid status gaps.

Find Product Software Engineer at Roblox JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Roblox sponsor H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers?
Yes, Roblox sponsors H-1B visas for Product Software Engineer roles. The company has a consistent track record of filing petitions for engineers across its platform and creator tooling teams. Because H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing your application around the April filing window is critical if you need an initial cap-subject petition.
Which visa types does Roblox sponsor for Product Software Engineer roles?
Roblox sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Product Software Engineer positions. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican citizens may qualify for TN status under USMCA. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
How do I apply for Product Software Engineer jobs at Roblox?
Browse open Product Software Engineer positions at Roblox through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm the company is sponsoring your category before applying. Apply directly through Roblox's careers portal, tailoring your resume to platform engineering and developer tooling experience. Recruiters at Roblox typically screen for system design depth and real-time systems experience early in the process.
What qualifications does Roblox expect for Product Software Engineer roles?
Roblox typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B and E-3 petitions. Hands-on experience with distributed systems, platform architecture, or developer tooling is weighted heavily. Familiarity with Roblox's engine or game development infrastructure is a differentiator at the senior level.
How do I plan the timeline for a Roblox visa sponsorship process?
The timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B cap petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so factor in at least a six-month gap between offer and start if you need a cap-subject H-1B. E-3 and TN petitions move faster, often within a few weeks. USCIS premium processing, available for H-1B, reduces adjudication to 15 business days and is commonly used for engineering hires.
