About the Team
DoorDash for Business is building the premier corporate dining and benefits platform—helping companies of all sizes feed their teams through industry-leading products and meal programs. Our mission is to become the go-to solution for executives, administrators, and employees who need seamless, high-quality food programs at work. We move fast, operate with an ownership mindset, and are growing new product lines to better serve our corporate customers.
About the Role
At DoorDash for Business, we believe that the reliability and quality of our service is our competitive advantage, and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about digging into the data to root cause operations and delivery problems in order to create a seamless experience for customers and merchants alike. As an Associate for the Catering team, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving delivery quality, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, support new delivery models, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of quality improvement strategies.
Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. You can one day be sizing the impact of new delivery models on quality improvements, then leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by building from the ground up, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and excited to shape how two high-priority product lines grow.
You will report into the Manager, Strategy & Operations for DoorDash for Business and can work remotely or hybrid depending preference.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own quality improvement workstreams: that address the most unique and challenging questions within two new high-stakes DoorDash for Business product lines
- Run experiments and operations tests: assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for improving on-time delivery and setup quality
- Support execution at scale: after proving out a concept, translating the wins into scalable solutions that we can apply across the entire network.
- Drive analytical rigor: by building and owning models that track initiative success, key quality metrics, weekly and annual costs, and support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor network performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships: by regularly partnering with Logistics, LiveOps, Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams to build quarterly roadmaps, scope and assess initiatives that can improve the quality of our logistics system
We're excited about you because…
- You're strategic and process-oriented – You can break down challenging problems, build hypotheses supported by data, and implement experiments while keeping our teams aligned and informed with your work.
- You're highly analytical – You are fluent in data and modeling (Excel, SQL, Python, Sigma, or network modeling tools) and use it to ground your decisions.
- You thrive in scaling environments – You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and building solutions in uncharted territory.
- You're cross-functional – You've led initiatives that align operations, product, and finance around a shared strategy.

Frame Your Experience Around Marketplace Operations
DoorDash evaluates Operations candidates on their ability to manage logistics at scale. Highlight experience with last-mile delivery, marketplace efficiency, or multi-sided platform operations to signal direct relevance before your resume reaches a recruiter.
Identify Roles Eligible for Cap-Exempt Filing
If you're currently on F-1 OPT, confirm whether your target role qualifies for OPT STEM extension before the 90-day application deadline. DoorDash's software classification under NAICS codes may support STEM OPT eligibility for Operations analyst and data-focused roles.
Target DoorDash's City Launch and Expansion Teams
City Operations and market launch roles at DoorDash tend to have faster headcount approvals tied to expansion timelines. Applying during a new market push increases your odds of landing a role where the team is actively hiring and sponsorship is already budgeted.
Understand How DoorDash Structures H-1B Sponsorship Internally
DoorDash typically files H-1B petitions through an in-house immigration team coordinating with outside counsel. Ask during the offer stage whether your role is classified as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, since Operations titles vary widely in how they're documented.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Operations Roles by Visa Type
Searching broadly on general job boards won't show you which Operations roles at DoorDash are open to sponsored candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter DoorDash listings by the visa types they actively support, so you only apply where your status is a fit.
Prepare Your LCA Documentation Before the Offer Stage
DoorDash's HR team will file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition can move forward. Request clarity on your work location early, since the LCA is site-specific and remote or hybrid arrangements can complicate prevailing wage determinations.

Find Operations at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions, though the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Operations titles that involve data analysis, process engineering, or supply chain management tend to qualify more cleanly than generalist coordinator roles. Confirm the classification with your recruiter before signing an offer.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Operations positions?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for Operations roles, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for current students. Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 are also available for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Operations roles?
DoorDash typically looks for analytical fluency, experience with operational metrics, and comfort working across cross-functional teams. For mid-level and senior Operations roles, prior experience in logistics, marketplace platforms, or high-growth tech companies carries significant weight. SQL proficiency and familiarity with tools like Looker or Tableau are frequently listed as requirements in job postings.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at DoorDash?
You can browse open Operations roles directly on DoorDash's careers page, or use Migrate Mate to filter listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your status is supported before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to DoorDash's operational language around marketplace efficiency, merchant growth, or logistics. Referrals from current employees meaningfully improve response rates.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at DoorDash?
The H-1B lottery registration window opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date for approved petitions. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer must file before your OPT expires. Starting conversations with DoorDash recruiters in the fall or winter gives you enough lead time to align an offer letter with the March filing window and avoid a gap in work authorization.
