At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.
Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission.
Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.
The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.
About the Role
Commure's Infrastructure team runs on the tools it builds for itself and we are looking for a Technical Operations Associate to help build them faster. This is a hands-on, high-ownership technical role on our shared execution bench: a small team of builders who design, develop, and deploy the internal applications, automations, and data workflows that keep every corner of the Infrastructure team operating at full speed.
In this role, you'll work fluidly across two technical stacks: Retool for internal systems and operational dashboards, and Vercel/Cursor for AI-powered applications and agent workflows moving between both based on where your skills are needed most. One week you might be building a credentialing tracker in Retool; the next, deploying an AI agent that automates a manual exception-handling workflow. You'll design and maintain tools connected to live data via APIs, SQL, and webhooks, so teams are always working from accurate, current information.
This is a builder role. You'll ship real tools that real teams depend on and see the operational impact of your work directly and immediately. You default to prototyping over planning documents, get things in front of users fast, and iterate based on feedback treating internal operators as real customers.
The ideal candidate is technically versatile, curious about AI tooling, and energized by operational variety across credentialing, exceptions, integrations, and BizOps. You're self-directing and reliable leads need to trust that work gets done, documented, and handed off cleanly and you communicate what you're building in plain language to non-technical stakeholders without losing the nuance of what makes it work.
This full-time position requires working 5 days a week in our Mountain View, CA office.
What You Have
Required
- 3–5 years in a technical operations, business systems, or software development role, with hands-on production experience building internal tools in Retool and deploying web applications via Vercel using AI-assisted development environments like Cursor
- Solid command of SQL — writing complex queries, modeling data for reporting, and designing ETL pipelines that eliminate manual reporting overhead and keep the operational data layer clean and current
- Experience integrating systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and database connectors, with the ability to instrument workflows with logging and monitoring to proactively surface issues before they impact operations
- Practical experience building with LLMs and AI tools — including prompt engineering, API integration, and multi-step agent workflows — to automate high-volume operational tasks such as exception triage, credentialing checks, and data aggregation
- Ability to integrate LLM capabilities (summarization, classification, routing, and escalation logic) into existing internal tooling, and a habit of staying current with the AI landscape to bring techniques that create genuine operational leverage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner directly with operational leads, translate business needs into technical solutions, document what you've built, and onboard the teams that depend on it
Preferred
- JavaScript or Python experience for scripting, app development, and data pipelines
- Background in healthcare tech, SaaS operations, or clinical workflow environments
- Familiarity with BI tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau) for reporting and visualization
- Experience serving multiple internal stakeholders in a shared services or platform team model
- Exposure to workflow automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or n8n

Align your credentials to Commure's healthcare tech stack
Operations roles at Commure often touch clinical workflow systems and healthcare data pipelines. Document your experience with healthcare SaaS platforms, compliance frameworks, or EHR integrations before applying so your resume speaks directly to their environment.
Target roles that map to your visa category
Commure sponsors H-1B, TN, and OPT candidates, but not every Operations role maps cleanly to each category. TN applicants need a qualifying USMCA profession, so roles like Management Consultant or Computer Systems Analyst are stronger fits than generalist operations titles.
Start your OPT or CPT paperwork before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 status, your DSO needs lead time to authorize OPT or CPT. A delayed EAD can push your start date back weeks. Have your authorization request in process so you can give Commure a firm and realistic start date from day one.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term sponsorship path
Commure sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, both of which require PERM labor certification through DOL. That process typically takes one to two years before the I-140 petition stage, so raise your long-term interest during offer negotiations rather than after you've started.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Operations openings by sponsorship type
Commure posts Operations roles across multiple seniority levels and functional areas. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for positions where Commure is actively sponsoring your visa category, so you're only spending time on roles that are actually viable for your situation.
Prepare for H-1B specialty occupation scrutiny in operations
USCIS increasingly issues RFEs for Operations roles, questioning whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. Document that the role requires a specific bachelor's degree field, not just any degree, and gather job description language that reflects that requirement before your employer files the I-129.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Commure sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Commure sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions. Because USCIS scrutinizes Operations roles as specialty occupations, your employer will need to show the position requires a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's degree. Ensuring the job description reflects that specificity before the I-129 is filed reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Commure?
You can apply through Commure's careers page or browse their Operations openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with operational processes in healthcare technology environments, and clearly indicate your visa status and sponsorship needs early in the application process.
Which visa types does Commure commonly use for Operations hires?
Commure sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Operations roles. F-1 candidates are typically brought on through OPT or CPT first, with H-1B sponsorship following in subsequent lottery cycles. TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations under the USMCA. Green Card sponsorship through PERM and EB-2 or EB-3 is available for longer-tenure employees.
What qualifications does Commure expect for Operations roles?
Commure's Operations roles in healthcare technology generally require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as operations management, business, engineering, or information systems. Practical experience with enterprise software, cross-functional project coordination, or healthcare compliance workflows strengthens your application. Senior roles often expect direct experience scaling operational processes in a high-growth SaaS or health tech company.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Commure Operations role?
Timeline depends on visa type. OPT authorization through your DSO can take three to five months, so apply early. H-1B sponsorship requires USCIS lottery selection in April for an October 1 start date, though cap-exempt scenarios can move faster. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through DOL typically runs one to two years before the I-140 stage, not counting priority date wait times.
