Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London, and Amsterdam.
We are the Engineering Operations team at Plaid. Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operational governance for new bank integrations, integration upgrades, and PD3 migrations (~10–20 active at any time).
- Build and maintain master timelines, institution status trackers, risk/decision logs, and launch readiness checklists.
- Drive structured risk, issue, and escalation management across integrations and migrations.
- Provide regular, high-signal status updates to leadership.
- Coordinate milestones, dependencies, and handoffs across Access, PD3/ProFound, DPR, and Data Access.
- Help lead Charged Access operational coordination including project tracking, risk logs, stakeholder follow-ups as the program scales.
- Own the NEA–Support operational relationship: priority alignment, joint initiative tracking, and communication cadence.
- Run retros after complex launches and fold learnings back into processes.
- Design and govern repeatable processes for how integrations and migrations are scoped, planned, executed, and launched.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in program management, technical operations, or a similar cross-functional operations role.
- Proven track record running complex, multi-stakeholder programs with tight timelines.
- Strong organizational skills and experience building program artifacts (timelines, trackers, risk logs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical details into clear narratives for different audiences.
- Comfort with ambiguity and high-pressure environments.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Frame your resume around process impact
Plaid Operations roles sit at the intersection of fintech infrastructure and scale. Quantify how you've improved workflows, reduced errors, or supported compliance programs. Generic ops experience matters less than demonstrated impact in a data-intensive, regulated environment.
Target roles bridging technical and operational functions
Plaid frequently hires Operations professionals who can work cross-functionally with engineering and legal teams. Roles in compliance operations, partner onboarding, and data operations are strong entry points for visa-sponsored candidates given their structured requirements.
Align your offer timing with H-1B cap deadlines
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS by the April 1 deadline for an October 1 start. If you're negotiating an offer in late spring or summer, ask Plaid's recruiting team explicitly about the following fiscal year's filing cycle.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Operations openings at Plaid
Search Migrate Mate's job board to filter for Operations roles at Plaid that list visa sponsorship. This lets you focus your application efforts on positions already flagged as sponsorship-eligible, rather than screening each role manually.
Prepare documentation demonstrating specialty occupation status
USCIS scrutinizes whether Operations roles qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards. Gather evidence that your position requires a specific bachelor's degree field, such as information systems, finance, or business analytics, and that your credentials directly match the role.

Find Operations at Plaid JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Plaid sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Plaid sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Operations positions. The role must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field relevant to the work. Plaid's Operations functions, particularly in compliance, data, and partner operations, have the structured requirements that typically satisfy this threshold.
Which visa types are commonly used for Operations jobs at Plaid?
H-1B is the most common pathway for full-time Operations hires at Plaid. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for students and recent graduates, and STEM OPT extensions are available for eligible degree holders. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship is available for longer-term employees.
What qualifications and experience does Plaid expect for Operations roles?
Plaid Operations roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a field such as business, information systems, finance, or a related discipline. Experience with data workflows, cross-functional coordination, or compliance operations in a technology or fintech environment is valued. Roles that touch financial data infrastructure often expect familiarity with regulatory frameworks and structured analytical processes.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Plaid?
Browse open Operations positions on Migrate Mate, where roles at Plaid are filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can identify relevant openings without manual screening. Once you've identified a role, apply directly through Plaid's careers portal. Tailor your application to highlight operational impact in data-heavy or regulated environments, since that experience maps closely to what Plaid's hiring teams prioritize.
How do I time my application given H-1B filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March for the cap lottery, with petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer after the April deadline, your start date would fall in the following fiscal year. Start conversations with Plaid's recruiting team about sponsorship intent early in the process so both sides can plan around the filing calendar.
