Frame your credentials around U.S. hospitality standards
Hyatt Operations hiring managers look for familiarity with property management systems like Opera and brand service standards. Before applying, document your experience in ways that map directly to U.S. hotel operations terminology, not just titles from your home country.
Target roles where Hyatt files LCAs consistently
Use the DOL's OFLC disclosure data to identify which Operations job titles Hyatt has filed Labor Condition Applications for in recent cycles. Roles like Front Office Manager and Food and Beverage Manager appear repeatedly, signaling genuine sponsorship intent for those positions.
Prioritize full-service and luxury property openings
Hyatt's full-service brands, including Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt, carry larger operational teams and more complex staffing needs than select-service properties. These locations are more likely to have the headcount budget and HR infrastructure to support an H-1B petition.
Browse verified sponsoring Operations roles on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter Hyatt Operations openings by visa type, so you're only spending time on roles where sponsorship has been confirmed. This avoids wasting applications on properties that handle hiring locally without immigration support.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Hyatt properties vary between corporate-owned and franchised. Franchised hotels handle their own HR and may not follow Hyatt's corporate sponsorship practices. Ask directly during the offer stage whether the specific property has sponsored H-1B workers before and who manages the USCIS petition process.
Align your start date with H-1B cap filing windows
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start. Build this into your Hyatt job search timeline. Targeting offers finalized by February gives your employer enough runway to register and file before the cap-subject deadline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hyatt sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Hyatt sponsors H-1B visas for Operations roles, particularly at corporate-owned full-service and luxury properties. Positions in rooms division management, food and beverage leadership, and front office operations have appeared in DOL LCA filings. Franchised Hyatt properties make their own hiring decisions, so sponsorship support can differ depending on the specific location.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Hyatt?
Applications go through Hyatt's careers portal at jobs.hyatt.com, where you can filter by department and location. For visa-sponsored openings specifically, Migrate Mate aggregates verified Hyatt Operations roles by visa type, so you can focus your search on positions where sponsorship has been confirmed rather than relying on job descriptions that may be unclear about immigration support.
Which visa types does Hyatt commonly use for Operations positions?
Hyatt sponsors several visa categories for Operations roles. H-1B is used for specialty occupation positions requiring a relevant bachelor's degree, such as management-track roles. H-2B visa covers temporary or seasonal front-line operations work. F-1 OPT and CPT allow hospitality students to gain practical experience, and TN visas are available to qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupations.
What qualifications does Hyatt expect for sponsored Operations roles?
For H-1B-sponsored Operations positions, Hyatt typically requires a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience in hotel operations, familiarity with property management systems like Opera, and demonstrated leadership in a hotel environment strengthen your candidacy significantly. Roles at full-service properties often expect prior experience at comparable hotel tiers.
How long does the sponsorship and visa process take for a Hyatt Operations role?
If you need a new H-1B, the process runs roughly six to eight months from offer acceptance to your October 1 start date, given the cap registration window in March. If you're changing status from F-1 OPT or transferring an existing H-1B, timelines are shorter. Hyatt's corporate HR team manages petitions centrally at owned properties, but confirming the specific timeline with your hiring contact early is important.
