Frame your degree around hospitality operations
Hyatt's Business Operations roles typically require a degree in business administration, finance, or a related field tied to the specific role. Gather transcripts and credential evaluations early so your qualifications read as a direct match, not a stretch.
Target properties with centralized support functions
Hyatt's corporate hubs and larger full-service hotels house the revenue, workforce planning, and analytics teams where sponsored Business Operations roles are most likely to sit. Focus your search on those locations rather than smaller franchise properties.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Business Operations roles
Sponsorship-eligible positions at Hyatt aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified Business Operations openings at Hyatt filtered by visa type, so you're applying where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Confirm the hiring entity before accepting an offer
Hyatt's corporate structure includes both directly operated and franchised properties. Only corporate entities file H-1B petitions with USCIS and LCAs with DOL. Verify that your offer letter comes from a Hyatt corporate entity, not a franchisee, before the process begins.
Build in time for PERM if you want a Green Card path
Hyatt has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for Business Operations professionals. PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even begins adjudicating your immigrant petition, so start that conversation well before your H-1B years run out.

Does Hyatt sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Hyatt sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles, particularly within its corporate and full-service hotel teams where revenue management, analytics, and workforce planning functions are centralized. Sponsorship is more common for roles requiring specialized business or finance degrees. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, your employer must file with USCIS in April for an October start date, so early engagement with Hyatt's HR team matters.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Hyatt?
Applications go through Hyatt's careers portal, where Business Operations roles are listed under corporate or property-level functions. You can also browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings at Hyatt through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa type so you're not guessing which roles will support an international candidate. Tailoring your application to show operational impact in hospitality environments, such as revenue optimization or labor cost management, strengthens your candidacy.
Which visa types does Hyatt commonly use for Business Operations roles?
Hyatt uses several visa categories for Business Operations professionals depending on the candidate's background and role. H-1B is the most common for specialty occupation positions requiring a bachelor's degree or higher. F-1 OPT and CPT allow students and recent graduates to gain experience before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles. Hyatt has also sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions for long-term employees.
What qualifications does Hyatt expect for Business Operations roles?
Hyatt typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, hospitality management, or a closely related field. For more senior positions, an MBA or demonstrated experience in hotel revenue systems, workforce analytics, or operational finance is expected. Familiarity with hospitality-specific tools and performance metrics, such as RevPAR or labor productivity benchmarks, distinguishes candidates in a competitive pool and supports the specialty occupation determination required for H-1B sponsorship.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Hyatt Business Operations role?
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to H-1B, the process runs on a fixed calendar: Hyatt must file your H-1B petition during the April filing window for an October 1 start. USCIS standard processing takes 3 to 6 months, though premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, the DOL audit and certification phase alone can take well over a year, separate from the USCIS immigrant petition that follows.
