MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA or higher degree in a quantitative field
- Expertise in leveraging AI and automation to drive high-impact analysis and enhance analysis productivity

LOCATION
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
In-office expectations
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Working remotely at Stripe
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
PAY AND BENEFITS
The annual US base salary range for this role is $189,400 - $284,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

Frame your experience around financial systems
Stripe's Business Operations roles sit at the intersection of payments infrastructure and operational strategy. Tailor your resume to show experience with financial processes, revenue operations, or scaling systems in regulated environments, not just general ops.
Target roles with clear sponsorship signals
Search Stripe's job listings for language like 'we'll work with your visa status' or 'immigration assistance provided.' Business Operations postings that include these phrases are actively budget-approved for sponsorship, which shortens the offer negotiation process.
Understand which visa fits your citizenship
Stripe sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visas for Business Operations roles. If you're Australian, the E-3 bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN processing can happen at the border without USCIS filing delays.
Secure your OPT timeline before interviewing
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility before your first Stripe interview. Business Operations at Stripe often involves fintech or data-driven functions that can qualify, giving you up to 36 months of work authorization while an H-1B petition is filed.
Prepare for PERM documentation early in the process
If Stripe moves toward a Green Card under EB-2 or EB-3, DOL's PERM process requires detailed documentation of your job duties and qualifications. Gather degree transcripts, prior employment records, and offer letter details before your start date, not after.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Business Operations roles
Stripe posts Business Operations positions across multiple locations and sub-functions. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Stripe roles that align with your visa category, so you're only applying where your status is a fit from the start.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Stripe sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Stripe sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. The company files petitions through the annual USCIS lottery, which opens each March for an October 1 start date. If you're already on H-1B with a previous employer, Stripe can file an H-1B transfer, allowing you to start work as soon as the petition is received by USCIS.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Stripe?
Apply directly through Stripe's careers page, where Business Operations roles are listed by team and location. Tailor your application to reflect experience with operational strategy, financial systems, or cross-functional process work. You can also browse open Business Operations positions at Stripe filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship is actively offered.
Which visa types does Stripe commonly use for Business Operations roles?
Stripe sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, and TN visas for Business Operations positions, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. For long-term employees, Stripe also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does Stripe expect for Business Operations roles?
Stripe typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, finance, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in operations, analytics, or strategy within fast-moving environments. Familiarity with payments, financial infrastructure, or fintech is a meaningful differentiator. Roles often require strong cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort working with data to drive decisions.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap?
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, you must be registered by Stripe in the USCIS lottery each March. A job offer needs to be in place before registration opens, so targeting Stripe roles in January or February gives you the best runway. Cap-exempt options like E-3 and TN have no annual deadline and can be processed year-round.
