About the team
Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.
What you’ll do
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will own product-level messaging and positioning, lead and support product launches, create differentiated content for events and presentations, and enable sales. Reporting to the Money Management PMM Lead, you’ll partner with product, strategy & ops, and GTM teams to drive awareness and adoption of various products.
We're looking for a scrappy, growth-oriented Product Marketing Manager (PMM) who is familiar with early-stage startups and knows how to translate product value into growth initiatives. You'll have the opportunity to build the marketing discipline for a strategic and emerging line of business– operating with a startup mindset and constantly iterating on new ways of driving growth for this product suite.
Responsibilities
- Build the go-to-market strategy for the self-serve product suite for startups, building the growth engine and driving adoption at different milestones of product maturity
- Define the positioning, messaging, and overarching narrative for Money Management direct products (Stripe Treasury + Cards + Capital + Atlas) that serve startups and SMBs
- Support product launches by defining audience segments, crafting launch narratives, coordinating cross-functional readiness, and executing launch activities
- Lead product announcements at major events like Sessions and Global Tours, including developing keynote narratives, activations and driving .com presence
- Partner with Product, Growth Marketing, and Analytics teams to create impactful growth and marketing campaigns that drive awareness and adoption on an ongoing basis
- Enable user-facing teams at Stripe, from Sales and User Operations, to understand the value of our products and competitive solutions (via pitch decks, FAQs, etc)
Who you are
- Be a storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience and differentiate Stripe. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Lead with data. You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take our products to market
- Keep things organized. You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track. You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track
- Be ambitious. You are eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment and are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail to get things right
- Act as a team player. Product Marketers collaborate across the Marketing team and with basically every team at Stripe. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work
Minimum requirements
- 8+ years of product marketing, growth marketing, or go-to-market experience
- Proven track record launching and scaling product-led growth motions (onboarding flows, in-product upsells, lifecycle email programs)
- Strong product instincts and strategic storytelling: ability to turn product capabilities into crisp positioning and narrative for keynotes, demos, and sales enablement
- Comfortable operating with a startup mindset: bias for action, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to iterate quickly and independently
- Be able to leverage data to proactively identify opportunities and drive impactful results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical features into customer-facing benefits
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively across cross-functional teams
Preferred skills
- Experience with financial products, fintech, or money management platforms
- Real-world founder or startup network and empathy: you've been a founder, business owner, or worked closely with inception-stage founders (YC or accelerator ecosystem experience is a plus) and can speak their language
- Experience adapting go-to-market strategies for international markets

Build a Portfolio Around Fintech Audiences
Stripe evaluates Marketing candidates on their ability to reach developers, finance teams, and enterprise buyers. Document campaigns targeting technical or B2B audiences specifically, since generic consumer marketing experience is a weaker fit for their hiring bar.
Target Product Marketing Roles for Sponsorship Fit
Product Marketing Manager roles at Stripe tend to require a specific degree background in marketing, business, or communications, which strengthens specialty occupation classification under H-1B or E-3. Growth or performance marketing roles can be harder to qualify depending on how the job description is written.
Verify Stripe's LCA Filings Through DOL Disclosure Data
Before negotiating an offer, search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Stripe's Labor Condition Application filings in Marketing job titles. This shows you the prevailing wage levels Stripe has certified, which tells you whether your offered salary is at or above what USCIS and DOL expect.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Stripe's Open Marketing Roles
Sorting through Stripe's job board manually won't tell you which roles have active sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to find Stripe's current Marketing openings filtered by the visa types you need, so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is a real option.

Find Marketing at Stripe JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Stripe sponsor H-1B visas for Marketings?
Yes, Stripe sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing roles. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation, which means the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field like marketing, business, or communications. Product Marketing Manager and Brand Strategy roles have the clearest specialty occupation fit. General or coordinator-level roles may face more scrutiny during the USCIS petition process.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Stripe?
Apply directly through Stripe's careers page, or use Migrate Mate to find current Stripe Marketing openings filtered by the visa type you need. Stripe's Marketing hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, a take-home assignment, and multiple panel interviews focused on strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and go-to-market execution in B2B or fintech contexts.
Which visa types does Stripe commonly use for Marketing roles?
Stripe sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for most Marketing hires, along with the E-3 for Australian nationals and TN status for Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for students and recent graduates. For longer-term pathways, Stripe has experience with EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Marketing professionals as well.
What qualifications does Stripe expect for sponsored Marketing roles?
Stripe's Marketing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in B2B, developer, or fintech marketing. For senior roles, Stripe expects candidates who have owned full-funnel campaigns or product launches targeting technical buyers. A background in financial services or SaaS strengthens your candidacy and supports the specialty occupation case for visa purposes.
How do I think about timing when pursuing a sponsored Marketing role at Stripe?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the April 1 USCIS filing deadline is the critical date. Stripe would need to file your petition in early April for an October 1 start date. That means securing an offer no later than February or March. If you're on OPT, you may be able to start sooner under your existing authorization while the H-1B petition is pending, provided your OPT end date and any STEM extension give you enough runway.
