About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About The Team
Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch. We’re looking to hire a Consumer Product Marketing Lead to own go-to-market strategy and positioning for Link as we scale the world's most widely used digital wallet. Link is Stripe’s digital wallet, already used by 250+ million consumers, with millions more joining the network every month. This role sits at the center of Stripe's consumer ambitions—translating Link's product innovations into compelling narratives that drive discovery, adoption, and loyalty at scale.
What you’ll do
As Consumer Product Marketing Lead for Link, you will own strategy and execution across positioning and go-to-market to grow Link's network—and bring the next hundreds of millions of shoppers into the network.
- Define Link's consumer positioning and messaging: Develop and continuously evolve Link's core value proposition and messaging framework for consumers, ensuring a consistent and compelling story across every touchpoint.
- Lead go-to-market for product launches: Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for new Link features and consumer experiences, from early product shaping through launch execution and post-launch measurement.
- Shape the product roadmap: Be the voice of the consumer in product planning. Synthesize qualitative insights, quantitative research, and competitive intelligence to influence feature prioritization and roadmap strategy.
- Partner with Brand Marketing: Work in lockstep with the Brand Marketing team to ensure brand campaigns are grounded in product truths and that high-impact brand moments connect back to measurable product outcomes.
- Drive consumer research and insights: Commission and synthesize user research, behavioral analytics, and market data to develop a deep understanding of Link's target personas, adoption barriers, and engagement drivers.
- Define and track consumer growth metrics: Set KPIs across the consumer marketing funnel (awareness, activation, engagement, retention), own regular reporting, and use data to continuously optimize the marketing mix.
- Influence senior leadership: Communicate product strategy, consumer insights, and marketing results clearly and persuasively to Stripe leadership and cross-functional partners.
Who you are
- An expert in consumer product marketing: You have a strong track record building go-to-market strategies for high-scale B2C products, ideally in fintech, payments, or consumer tech. You know how to earn consumer trust and translate product complexity into clear, irresistible value.
- A sharp strategist and structured thinker: You can synthesize research, competitive signals, and product data into a compelling point of view, and you're confident presenting that perspective to senior leadership.
- Highly cross-functional: You're a natural collaborator who holds your own in product discussions, aligns with brand and creative teams, and influences without authority across a matrixed organization.
- Data-driven and measurement-minded: You define success in metrics, know how to attribute marketing activities to consumer outcomes, and use data to continuously improve your approach.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: You thrive in fast-moving, zero-to-one environments and are energized by the challenge of building new capabilities at scale.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with 5+ years in B2C products
- Proven track record developing consumer positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for scaled consumer products
- Strong research and analytical skills; ability to synthesize consumer insights, market data, and competitive intelligence into actionable strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally across product, brand, creative, and analytics teams
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
In-office expectations
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Working remotely at Stripe
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $191,600 - $287,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

Frame your fintech narrative before applying
Stripe's Product Marketing roles center on payments infrastructure, developer tools, and financial services adoption. Build a portfolio that shows you've driven go-to-market for technical or financial products, not just consumer software. That context signals fit before your resume hits a recruiter.
Confirm your visa type fits Stripe's pattern
Stripe sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT among others. If you're on OPT with limited runway, apply early enough to align your start date with cap-season H-1B filing. A 60-day buffer between offer acceptance and your OPT expiry is the minimum you'd want.
Target roles that match a specialty occupation profile
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations with a directly related degree. Product Marketing at Stripe sits at the edge of that standard. Roles with explicit requirements in marketing, economics, or computer science read more cleanly than generalist PMM titles when USCIS reviews the petition.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles by visa type
Stripe posts Product Marketing roles across multiple locations and seniority levels. Migrate Mate lets you filter active Stripe openings by the visa types you hold, so you're only applying where your sponsorship category is already supported.
Negotiate sponsorship terms before countersigning
Once Stripe extends an offer, confirm in writing which visa category they'll file, whether premium processing is included, and who covers legal fees. For PERM-based Green Card paths, ask whether the company initiates the process after a defined tenure.
Prepare credential documentation specific to fintech marketing
If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation through NACES-approved evaluators before Stripe's legal team requests it. For E-3 or TN applicants, the Labor Condition Application from DOL must be certified before your visa appointment or port-of-entry crossing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Stripe sponsor H-1B visas for Product Marketings?
Yes, Stripe sponsors H-1B visas for Product Marketing roles. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which generally means the position requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. Stripe's Product Marketing roles tied to developer tools, payments infrastructure, or enterprise go-to-market tend to meet this bar more cleanly than generalist marketing titles.
How do I apply for Product Marketing jobs at Stripe?
Apply directly through Stripe's careers portal at stripe.com/jobs. Product Marketing roles at Stripe are posted by product area, including payments, financial services, and developer platforms. You can also browse current open roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which consolidates Stripe's active listings alongside sponsorship history for each role type.
Which visa types does Stripe commonly use for Product Marketing roles?
Stripe sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Product Marketing positions. The right category depends on your nationality and status. Australians typically use the E-3 visa, Canadians and Mexicans the TN visa, and most others the H-1B. Stripe also supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship, typically after an employee establishes tenure.
What qualifications does Stripe expect for Product Marketing roles?
Stripe's Product Marketing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, or a technical field. Beyond credentials, Stripe looks for experience marketing to developers, finance teams, or enterprise buyers in the payments or financial infrastructure space. Candidates who can demonstrate cross-functional work with product, sales, and engineering stand out, particularly for roles tied to Stripe's platform or fintech verticals.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Stripe role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, time your application so your offer letter arrives no later than February or March. USCIS premium processing currently runs about 15 business days, which Stripe has historically used for time-sensitive hires. If you miss the cap window, ask whether a cap-exempt institution or an alternative visa category can bridge the gap.
