Job Overview
TurboTax is Intuit's flagship consumer product and the market leader in tax preparation software. As a Principal Business Strategist for Portfolio & Pricing, you will sit at the center of some of the most consequential decisions the Consumer Group makes each year: how we design, price, and bring our products to market.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role spanning business model strategy, pricing, SKU architecture, and go-to-market planning. You will partner closely with Product, Finance, Analytics, Marketing, and Legal to translate strategy into decisions that directly drive revenue, customer outcomes, and competitive positioning — owning your work from initial framing through execution.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the annual product lineup and business model strategy for TurboTax, establishing the framework that guides pricing, packaging, and go-to-market decisions across the Consumer Group.
- Own end-to-end pricing strategy — setting direction, managing in-season execution, and building a rigorous test-and-learn roadmap to continuously improve how we price our products.
- Lead SKU and entitlements strategy, serving as the authoritative source of truth on product structure and ensuring alignment across Product, Finance, and operational teams ahead of each season.
- Partner deeply with senior leaders across Product, Analytics, Finance, and Marketing to shape strategy, influence decisions, and drive outcomes — operating effectively without direct authority.
- Translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear frameworks and recommendations that move the business forward.
Qualifications
Experience
- 8+ years in strategy, business operations, product strategy, or consulting roles in high-growth technology environments.
- SaaS or consumer technology experience strongly preferred; fintech or B2C product experience a plus.
- Prior experience in pricing strategy, business model design, or GTM planning is highly valued.
Strategy & Analytical Strength
- Strong structured problem-solving and ability to define choices — comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder complexity and ambiguity.
- Ability to distill insights from quantitative and qualitative data and construct a clear, compelling narrative for senior leadership.
- Demonstrated experience developing business cases, pricing models, and frameworks that drive decisions.
Execution & Ownership
- Track record of putting points on the board — identifying opportunities, driving alignment, resolving blockers, and landing outcomes.
- Extreme ownership mindset; moves naturally between long-term strategy and short-term execution.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of active workstreams with rigor and discipline.
Communication & Influence
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexity and influence at scale.
- Comfortable serving as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders and driving decisions without direct authority.
- Strong storytelling instincts — knows how to frame tradeoffs clearly and build alignment across diverse stakeholders.

Align your portfolio to Intuit's product lines
Intuit hires Marketing talent around specific products like QuickBooks, TurboTax, and Credit Karma. Frame your portfolio around data-driven campaign work or product-led growth, not just brand awareness, to match how their Marketing org is structured.
Clarify your visa category before applying
Intuit sponsors several visa types for Marketing roles, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which category applies to your nationality lets you ask the right questions during recruiter screens instead of getting surprised late in the process.
Target roles that map to a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations needing a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Marketing roles tied to analytics, product marketing, or market research tend to meet this bar more cleanly than generalist coordinator-level positions.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Marketing roles at Intuit that actively list sponsorship
Not every Intuit Marketing posting signals sponsorship availability upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship is confirmed, so you're not spending time applying to positions that will stall at the offer stage.
Prepare for LCA timelines before you receive an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Understanding this sequencing means you won't be caught off guard if your start date gets pushed by a few weeks during certification.
Ask specifically about cap-exempt or transfer sponsorship during recruiter calls
If you already hold an H-1B with another employer, Intuit can file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the annual lottery. Raising this in early recruiter conversations clarifies your timeline and signals immigration literacy, which larger employers respect.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Marketing roles?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing roles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines, roles with a clear analytical or technical component, such as product marketing, marketing analytics, or growth marketing, tend to have a smoother path through the petition process than broadly scoped generalist positions.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Intuit?
You can apply directly through Intuit's careers site, where Marketing roles are listed by product line and team. To find positions that confirm visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate filters Intuit's open Marketing roles by sponsorship eligibility, saving you the step of vetting each posting individually before you invest time in an application.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly use for Marketing roles?
Intuit sponsors several visa categories for Marketing professionals, including H-1B, E-3 visa (for Australian citizens), TN visa (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs, J-1 visa, and EB-2 or EB-3 for candidates pursuing permanent residence. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in your immigration journey.
What qualifications does Intuit look for in Marketing candidates who need sponsorship?
Intuit's Marketing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, communications, or a related field. For visa purposes, your degree needs to align with the specific role. Candidates with experience in performance marketing, B2B or B2C product marketing, or customer analytics tend to be competitive. Demonstrable results from past campaigns, not just responsibilities, carry significant weight in their hiring process.
How do I time my job search if my OPT or current visa status is expiring soon?
If you're on F-1 OPT, factor in that H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with an October 1 start date. If your OPT expires before the next H-1B cycle begins, STEM OPT extension eligibility becomes critical. Starting your Intuit application three to four months before your status expires gives enough buffer for offer, LCA filing with DOL, and petition preparation without a gap in authorization.
