Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, clarity, and scalability through AI-enabled tools and optimized processes
-
Champion operational excellence across the team, continuously evolving systems and processes to support how ETS operates and performs
-
Partner with IS&T teams, Finance, and business units to enable aligned, accountable execution

Tailor your resume to Apple's operational scale
Apple's Business Operations roles emphasize systems thinking at global scale. Highlight experience managing cross-functional programs, supplier relationships, or hardware product cycles rather than generalist operations work. Reviewers look for candidates who've operated within complex, matrixed organizations.
Target roles tied to hardware product lines
Apple's most active Business Operations hiring clusters around iPhone, Mac, and Services divisions. Roles tied to new product introduction or supply chain readiness often have dedicated headcount, making them more likely to move through the sponsorship approval process with urgency.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visas depending on your nationality. Knowing which category applies to you before offer negotiations avoids delays. Australian citizens on E-3 and Canadians on TN typically see faster processing than H-1B cap cases.
Align your credentials to a specialty occupation standard
Business Operations roles can face USCIS scrutiny over whether they meet the specialty occupation threshold. A degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or supply chain strengthens your petition far more than a general business or liberal arts background.
Prepare for PERM timing if you're targeting a Green Card
Apple sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Business Operations roles, but PERM labor certification with the DOL typically adds 12 to 18 months before the I-140 stage. Factor this into your OPT or H-1B runway if permanent residency is part of your plan.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Apple's open roles by visa type
Finding Business Operations openings that explicitly support sponsorship saves weeks of outreach. Migrate Mate lets you filter Apple's current listings by visa category so you can focus applications on roles where your status is already a fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. Because the H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, your offer timing matters. If you're selected in the lottery, your start date would be October 1 of that fiscal year. Candidates already holding H-1B status through a prior employer can transfer without waiting for a new cap cycle.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Apple?
Apply directly through Apple's careers portal at jobs.apple.com. Business Operations roles are posted under Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management categories. Tailoring your application to reflect Apple's hardware-focused business context, including product launch cycles and global supplier operations, significantly strengthens your candidacy. You can also browse Apple's open sponsorship-eligible roles on Migrate Mate before applying.
Which visa types does Apple commonly sponsor for Business Operations roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Singaporean and Chilean nationals, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, and TN visa for Canadian and Mexican professionals. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for students actively enrolled or recently graduated. For long-term employment, Apple also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for qualifying Business Operations employees.
What qualifications does Apple expect for Business Operations roles?
Most Business Operations roles at Apple require a bachelor's degree in a field like supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations research, or business administration with a quantitative focus. Experience with new product introduction, cross-functional program management, or supplier operations in a hardware or consumer electronics environment is strongly favored over generalist operations backgrounds.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline after receiving an Apple offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN petitions can be processed at a consulate or port of entry within weeks of an offer. H-1B transfers for existing holders move faster than new cap cases. For OPT-to-H-1B transitions, USCIS recommends filing by April 1 to cover the October 1 start date. Confirm your category's specific filing window with Apple's immigration team as early as possible in the offer process.
