Target corporate and above-property roles first
Hyatt's H-1B sponsorship tends to concentrate in corporate functions like finance, technology, and strategy rather than front-line hotel roles. Focus your search on above-property positions at Hyatt's Chicago headquarters and regional offices for the strongest sponsorship prospects.
F-1 students should engage Hyatt's internship pipeline early
Hyatt actively participates in CPT and OPT programs, making it a viable path for international students in hospitality management. Apply to structured internship programs well before your OPT start date, as conversion to full-time sponsorship can follow strong performance.
Canadian and Mexican professionals should explore the TN pathway
Hyatt sponsors TN visas, which offer a faster, lottery-free alternative to H-1B for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals. Roles in management, accounting, and engineering at Hyatt properties are commonly eligible. TN sponsorship avoids the H-1B cap entirely.
Seasonal hospitality workers should consider the H-2B route
Hyatt sponsors H-2B visas for temporary, non-agricultural hospitality roles during peak seasons. If you're targeting resort or hotel positions with defined seasonal demand, ask recruiters specifically about H-2B eligibility during the application process.
Demonstrate hospitality-specific credentials when applying
Hyatt's specialty occupation sponsorships require a clear tie between your degree and the role. Degrees in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field strengthen your case. Highlight any brand-specific certifications or hotel operations experience prominently in your application materials.
Use a verified sponsor database to find open roles
Not every Hyatt job listing signals sponsorship willingness upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which Hyatt roles have an active track record of supporting visa applicants before you apply.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hyatt sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hyatt sponsors H-1B visas, primarily for specialty occupation roles in corporate and above-property functions such as finance, information technology, and operations management. H-1B sponsorship at Hyatt is selective rather than high-volume, so candidates with a clear degree-to-role match and relevant hospitality or business experience are the strongest fits. Applying to roles at Hyatt's corporate headquarters in Chicago gives you the best chance of H-1B consideration.
Which visa types does Hyatt sponsor?
Hyatt sponsors a broad range of visa categories including H-1B, H-2B visa, TN visa, J-1 visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT, as well as employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. This makes Hyatt one of the more versatile sponsors in the hospitality industry, supporting both temporary work visas and permanent residency pathways across multiple departments and seniority levels.
Which departments or roles at Hyatt are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Corporate functions including finance, IT, revenue management, and human resources are the most consistent areas for H-1B and Green Card sponsorship at Hyatt. H-2B visas are more common in seasonal hotel operations roles. J-1 and F-1 OPT sponsorship tends to occur through Hyatt's structured internship and training programs, which recruit from hospitality management programs across the country.
How do I find Hyatt jobs that are open to visa sponsorship?
The safest approach is to use a platform that verifies sponsorship history rather than relying solely on job listing language. Migrate Mate tracks real visa filing data, so you can browse Hyatt openings with confidence that the company has a documented history of sponsoring the visa type you need. Filtering by visa category helps you focus only on roles where sponsorship is realistic for your situation.
How do I approach the Hyatt application process as a visa-dependent candidate?
Apply through Hyatt's official careers portal and be prepared to confirm your visa status early in the process. Hyatt's recruiters in corporate departments are generally experienced with sponsorship processes, but timelines can vary. For H-1B candidates, targeting roles that open in late 2025 or early 2026 gives your employer enough lead time to file before the April 1 registration window. For OPT candidates, confirm your OPT start date aligns with the role's anticipated start before accepting an offer.
