Intuit is known for its innovation track record, customer centricity, and its consistent recognition as a top place to work.
Within Intuit, the Commercial Group is $3B+ in annual revenue and solves key jobs such as getting paid and getting capital, and paying and managing workers. Across these experiences we are revolutionizing speed to benefit by evolving from end-to-end workflows where our customers do the work to done-for-you experiences where the work is done for our customers. We are creating transformative product experiences powered by AI Agents where businesses expect Intuit, as their source of truth and system of record for their financials, to provide intelligent insights into their cash flow and upcoming expenses, to help them get invoices paid faster, to complete payroll on their behalf, and to offer capital right when they need it.
Intuit is looking for a Director of Business Operations to serve as a critical strategic and operational partner for our Commercial organization, reporting to the VP Commercial Operations. This executive will lead a team of six, and provide strategic thought partnership; market-backed data-driven strategies; scenario planning, and decision-ready documentation (e.g., whitepapers, decks, memos) to guide senior leadership on where to focus and how to win.
This person will be accountable for driving key in-year growth initiatives, defining our 3- and 1-year planning, and perfecting the business operating system. The ideal candidate is a "full-stack" leader—someone who can look around corners to shape a 3-year vision, while rolling up their sleeves to drive the monthly operating rhythm and unlock execution velocity today.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Operations:
- Lead 3- and 1-year planning. Translate company goals into measurable commercial targets, aligned priorities, resource models, and reliable forecasting processes with cross-functional partners.
- Ensure the business is strategically represented and positioned at the enterprise level, leading the narrative for corporate planning, budgeting, and investment/headcount reviews.
- Operating System - Design and run the operating cadence (e.g., forecast reviews, launch/GTM coordination) and operating calendar, enabling consistent cross-functional mechanisms that drive execution and continuous improvement.
- Operational Oversight - Audit and identify bottlenecks and risks, define standards and a GTM tech roadmap, and drive benchmark-informed improvements (including tech/AI) with PgM and Tech teams to increase execution velocity and efficiency.
Business Performance:
- Own the KPI and dashboard framework to deliver timely visibility into performance vs. goals and turn reporting and analysis into actionable insights and corrective actions for leadership.
- Report out and document the performance of the business for the Commercial org - the what happened, the why it happened and what we will do.
- Track, and optimize headcount and OPEX in partnership with Finance and HR, making strategy- and data-backed recommendations on resource deployment and evolving org design.
- Oversee the end-to-end program and project management portfolio by setting standards and governance, aligning roadmaps and resources to strategic priorities, and ensuring on-time delivery with clear risks, dependencies, and outcomes communicated to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Drive alignment and smooth execution across Finance, Analytics, Sales Ops, Product, HR, PgM, and GTM Tech by cascading operating context, aligning goals and priorities, and standardizing key processes (e.g., lead handoffs, pipeline definitions, reporting).

- Executive Presence: Proven experience partnering with and influencing C-suite and VP/SVP-level executives. Ability to build trust, challenge courageously, and drive leadership alignment.
- Operational Rigor: Deep expertise in building and running operating cadences (MBRs, OKRs, strategic planning cycles) for complex, scaled business units.

Frame your resume around measurable process outcomes
Intuit's Operations roles emphasize efficiency gains, cost reduction, and scalable systems. Quantify your impact in previous roles using metrics like cycle time, error rate, or throughput, since this directly matches how Intuit evaluates Operations candidates.
Target roles tied to Intuit's core platforms
Operations positions supporting QuickBooks, TurboTax, or Credit Karma infrastructure tend to attract dedicated hiring pipelines at Intuit. Aligning your application to a specific product line signals domain fit and increases your chances of reaching a sponsorship-ready hiring manager.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Intuit Operations openings by visa type
Not every Intuit Operations listing specifies sponsorship eligibility upfront. Migrate Mate lets you filter open roles by the visa types Intuit has historically sponsored, so you can focus your applications on positions where your status is already a known fit.
Clarify your status early in the recruiter screen
Intuit recruiters who work on Operations roles are accustomed to sponsorship conversations, but timing matters. Raising your visa status in the initial screen, rather than after an offer, prevents late-stage complications and lets the hiring team loop in their immigration counsel early.
Confirm your employer's PERM readiness for permanent residency paths
If you're targeting an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card through Intuit, confirm whether the specific Operations role is eligible for PERM sponsorship before accepting an offer. DOL's PERM process requires a formal recruitment test, which affects timeline from day one of employment.
Preserve your OPT STEM extension window strategically
F-1 OPT holders in Operations roles at Intuit can access the 24-month STEM extension if the role falls under an eligible CIP code. Filing your extension with USCIS before your initial OPT expires gives you continued work authorization while Intuit pursues an H-1B petition on your behalf.

Find Operations at Intuit JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Operations professionals. The company has an established immigration program and works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying roles. Because H-1B availability depends on the annual lottery, candidates in Operations should align their offer and onboarding timeline with the April filing window and October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Intuit?
Applications go through Intuit's careers portal, where Operations roles are listed under categories like Business Operations, Finance Operations, and Supply Chain. Tailoring your application to a specific product team, such as QuickBooks or TurboTax, improves visibility. You can also browse Intuit's open Operations roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly sponsor for Operations positions?
Intuit sponsors multiple visa categories for Operations roles, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, and immigrant pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 for permanent residency. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and how the specific Operations role is classified under DOL guidelines.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Most Operations roles at Intuit that qualify for visa sponsorship require a bachelor's degree in a field like business, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. Beyond credentials, Intuit prioritizes demonstrated experience with process improvement, cross-functional coordination, or enterprise systems. Roles tied to financial product operations may also expect familiarity with compliance or regulatory workflows relevant to the fintech space.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Intuit Operations hire?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B standard processing with USCIS typically runs three to six months after the April lottery, with an October 1 start. E-3 and TN categories can move faster, often within weeks. For PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, expect a multi-year process. Intuit's immigration team generally coordinates timing with offer acceptance, so raising your visa situation early in negotiations is practical.
