Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is dedicated to delivering a portfolio of solutions that help businesses thrive at every stage of growth — from solopreneurs to mid-market — across accounting, payroll, time tracking, payments, bill pay, lending, and more.
The Emerging Mid-Market Marketing team is seeking a Group Marketing Manager (Leader) to lead the team responsible for defining the future of QuickBooks Advanced, in service of one of Intuit's 3 Big Bets: Disrupt the Small Business Mid-Market. This is a strategic leadership role accountable for both the multi-year product marketing strategy for Advanced and for building and developing the team that executes against it. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and proven people leader who can set a bold vision, translate it into a team's day-to-day priorities, and develop talent while influencing senior product, sales, and executive stakeholders to commit to that vision.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the team: Hire, coach, and develop a team of product marketers, setting a clear team charter and growing individual careers alongside business outcomes
- Own Advance's multi-year strategy: Set the strategic direction for where Advanced must go to win in mid-market, shaping the bets that drive long-term competitive position and growth
- Unify Advanced and Services into one strategy: Bring Advanced and Services together into a single, coherent strategy and go-to-market motion
- Shape the roadmap at the strategic level: Partner with product leadership to prioritize around the bets that matter most for long-term competitive position
- Drive cross-functional alignment: Act as the connective tissue between product, sales, and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategic direction and key decisions
- Set positioning and messaging standards: Own the master narrative and value proposition for Advanced, ensuring every campaign, launch, and sales asset the team produces ladders back to one consistent story
- Own competitive strategy: Direct how the team tracks and responds to the competitive landscape, translating competitive intelligence into positioning and packaging decisions
Qualifications
- BA/BS required, MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years of experience in product marketing or product strategy, with a demonstrated track record in mid-market SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing and developing a team of marketers, including hiring, coaching, and growing talent
- Proven ability to define and defend long-range strategic bets using market intelligence and customer insight, with the judgment to sequence them pragmatically
- Demonstrated success influencing senior and executive stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization to commit to a strategic direction
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with comfort presenting at executive business reviews
- Demonstrated ownership, independent judgment, and comfort operating in ambiguity, with measurable outcomes driven at the strategy level
- Fluent in a range of AI tools with demonstrable experience incorporating them into your workflow

Frame your PM portfolio around fintech outcomes
Intuit evaluates product managers on their ability to drive measurable user and revenue outcomes in financial software. Before applying, reframe your case studies around metrics like activation rates, retention, or revenue impact rather than feature delivery alone.
Confirm your visa type before the offer stage
Intuit sponsors several visa categories, but not every role or team handles all types. Clarify early in the process whether your specific status, OPT, H-1B, or E-3, is supported for the exact team you're interviewing with to avoid late-stage surprises.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for open Software Product Manager roles at Intuit
Intuit posts PM roles across multiple product lines simultaneously, making it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Software Product Manager positions at Intuit that align with your visa type and background.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation in advance
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires evidence that your role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Gather your degree transcripts, credential evaluations if your degree is foreign, and any prior H-1B approval notices before Intuit's HR team initiates filing.
Target product areas aligned with your domain expertise
Intuit staffs PM roles across QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. Hiring managers look for candidates with relevant domain depth, so targeting the product line closest to your background, accounting software, tax tools, or SMB marketing, strengthens your candidacy.
Understand the LCA filing timeline if you're on OPT
If you're on F-1 OPT and targeting an H-1B through Intuit, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the H-1B petition. Build buffer time into your start date discussion so the LCA is certified before your OPT expires.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Software Product Managers?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Software Product Managers. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Intuit's legal and HR teams handle the H-1B petition process, but you'll need to provide documentation supporting the specialty occupation determination, including degree transcripts and credential evaluations if your degree was earned outside the United States.
How do I apply for Software Product Manager jobs at Intuit?
Apply directly through Intuit's careers portal, where roles are listed by product line and location. Most Software Product Manager positions require a resume, and shortlisted candidates go through multiple interview rounds covering product sense, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. If visa sponsorship is a factor, flag your status early in the recruiter screen so the team can confirm feasibility before advancing you further in the process. Migrate Mate is a good starting point to identify which open roles align with your visa category.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly sponsor for Software Product Manager roles?
Intuit sponsors multiple visa types for Software Product Managers, including the H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, and TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates and hires on J-1 visa exchange visitor status in some cases. For longer-term pathways, Intuit has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for PM employees who have demonstrated sustained performance and business need.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for Software Product Manager roles?
Most Software Product Manager roles at Intuit require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, though an MBA is common at senior levels. Practical experience shipping software products is weighted heavily. Intuit looks for candidates who can work closely with engineering and design teams, define success metrics, and operate within a data-driven product culture. Experience in financial services, accounting software, or consumer tax tools strengthens your application for roles on QuickBooks or TurboTax.
How do I time my job search at Intuit around the H-1B cap and lottery?
The H-1B cap registration window typically opens in March, with a lottery selection shortly after and petitions filed for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting Intuit and relying on H-1B sponsorship, start your application process no later than November or December the prior year so you have time to clear multiple interview rounds before registration opens. If you're not selected in the lottery, ask Intuit's HR team whether cap-exempt filing options apply or whether alternative visa categories are available for your role.
