Product at Brex
The Product team is at the forefront of Brex's mission to empower employees anywhere to make better financial decisions. With a deep understanding of the business, Product identifies, scopes out, and helps build the most impactful opportunities for Brex to tackle. We are responsible for aligning cross-functional teams — such as Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Design — on key decisions. We set strategy and drive products from inception to launch, enabling Brex to grow rapidly and help our customers reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do
As a Group Product Manager, you'll own a product area that sits at the center of Brex's highest-priority bets, setting the multi-quarter vision, making hard prioritization calls, and ensuring your team delivers outcomes that move company-level metrics, not just ship features. This means operating across several modes. Leading strategy, identifying where AI and automation can meaningfully change the customer experience rather than just adding novelty. You’ll be building teams and leading PMs who think clearly, operate independently, and raise their own bar over time. And you'll be a cross-functional operator, driving alignment with Engineering, Design, Data, Risk, Legal, and GTM leaders on initiatives that don't fit neatly into one team's roadmap. We expect you to use AI tools aggressively in your own work: for discovery, analysis, prototyping, and decision-making. You’ll also bring that same mindset to how your team builds products. The role is as much about scaling judgment and raising standards as it is about shipping.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in either our San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, or New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office at least 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the multi-quarter vision and strategy for a core product area aligned to Brex’s highest company priorities. Identify and prioritize the highest-leverage opportunities that drive durable customer and business impact.
- Manage and develop a team of Product Managers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and GTM leaders to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience incorporating AI/ML capabilities (e.g., LLMs, automation systems, predictive models) into customer-facing or internal products, with a strong understanding of where AI meaningfully improves user experience, efficiency, or decision quality.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate product discovery, analysis, experimentation, and execution (e.g., rapid prototyping, customer insight synthesis, requirement drafting, data exploration).
- Establish strong planning, prioritization, and execution frameworks across your portfolio. Define success metrics tied to company-level outcomes and ensure your team delivers measurable results.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product management, with direct experience managing and developing PMs.
- Have owned and scaled complex product areas in B2B, SaaS, or fintech, including driving measurable business outcomes across a multi-team portfolio.
- Can set strategy across multiple product surfaces and translate it into roadmaps your team actually executes against.
- Technically fluent enough to engage in architecture and systems tradeoffs with Engineering, not just defer to them.
- Data-driven by default: you define the metrics, design the experiments, and use the results to make calls.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making prioritization tradeoffs with incomplete information, and bringing senior stakeholders along.
- Clear, concise communicator — written and verbal — who can distill complex product problems into narratives that land with executives and cross-functional partners alike.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $280,000 - $350,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
Please be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data. Brex recruiters will only reach out via LinkedIn or email with a brex.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Brex via other sources should be ignored.

Frame your PM experience around financial products
Brex evaluates product managers on their ability to own complex financial workflows, not just ship features. Tailor your resume and portfolio to highlight payments, credit, or spend management products before you apply.
Distinguish between H-1B cap and cap-exempt timing
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with an October 1 start date. If you're interviewing outside the standard filing window, ask Brex's recruiting team whether a cap-exempt bridge arrangement or change of status is feasible for your situation.
Research Brex's LCA filings before your offer negotiation
DOL Labor Condition Applications are public record and show prevailing wage levels for specific roles and locations. Reviewing Brex's LCA disclosures lets you enter salary discussions with an accurate benchmark rather than guessing.
Target open Software Product Manager roles through Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and role to surface Brex positions that align with your authorization. Migrate Mate indexes roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, so you're not cold-applying and hoping the recruiter has an answer.
Request written confirmation of sponsorship scope in your offer
Before signing, confirm in writing which visa categories Brex will file for, whether premium processing is included, and who covers USCIS filing fees. Verbal assurances from recruiters don't bind the company's immigration team.

Find Software Product Manager at Brex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Software Product Managers?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Software Product Managers. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for product and engineering roles, which reflects the technical and specialized nature of the work. If you're on OPT or already hold H-1B status, confirm during the offer stage whether Brex will file a new cap-subject petition or a transfer, since the path differs.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Product Manager roles at Brex?
Brex sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Software Product Manager roles, and has also pursued employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for qualifying candidates. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupations. The right category depends on your citizenship, education, and current status, so clarify early in the recruiting process.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Software Product Manager roles at Brex?
Brex looks for product managers with experience owning end-to-end product development in financial services, fintech, or payments infrastructure. Roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business, and hands-on experience working cross-functionally with engineering and design teams. Prior exposure to credit, expense management, or developer-facing financial products strengthens your application significantly.
How do I apply for Software Product Manager jobs at Brex?
You can browse and apply for Software Product Manager roles at Brex through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions where visa sponsorship has been confirmed. From there, tailor your application to highlight fintech product experience and specify your visa status clearly. Brex's recruiting process typically includes an initial screen, a product case exercise, and panel interviews with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.
How do I time my application around the H-1B lottery if I'm on OPT?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. If your OPT expires before October 1 of the filing year, you'll need to confirm whether a cap-gap extension applies or whether Brex can offer a start date that aligns with your authorized period. Starting your job search at least six months before OPT expiry gives you enough runway to go through Brex's full interview process before the registration window opens.
