Frame your LCA-ready experience early
Intuit files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before extending offers to sponsored candidates. Documenting your specialized engineering leadership experience in cloud platforms or fintech products positions you as a straightforward case before the LCA stage begins.
Target Intuit's product-aligned engineering orgs
Intuit structures engineering management around TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma. Applying directly to a product line you have domain experience in signals fit to hiring managers and reduces the ambiguity sponsors face when justifying a specialty occupation petition.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Intuit sponsors multiple visa types for engineering managers, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which category applies to your nationality lets you ask informed questions during offer negotiation instead of discovering eligibility constraints after a verbal offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Not every Software Engineering Manager opening at Intuit lists sponsorship eligibility in the job description. Use Migrate Mate to browse Intuit's current openings filtered by the visa types they actively file, so you only invest time in roles aligned to your status.
Prepare for USCIS specialty occupation scrutiny on management roles
USCIS sometimes challenges whether engineering manager positions qualify as specialty occupations. Strengthen your case by ensuring your resume emphasizes technical depth, not just people management, and that your degree field directly aligns with the engineering domain you'll oversee.
Align your timeline to Intuit's H-1B cap-subject window
If you're pursuing a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Timing your Intuit application process to produce an offer by February gives the recruiting team enough runway to file your registration without missing the annual window.

Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineering Managers?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineering Manager roles. The company files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL and submits I-129 petitions through USCIS on behalf of sponsored employees. For cap-subject candidates, timing your offer to land before the March USCIS registration period is critical to securing an October 1 start date.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly sponsor for Software Engineering Manager roles?
Intuit sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for engineering leadership roles. Australian citizens are frequently routed through the E-3 process, while Canadian and Mexican nationals often use TN. F-1 OPT and CPT holders in engineering programs can also be sponsored during their authorized work periods.
How do I apply for Software Engineering Manager jobs at Intuit?
Applications go through Intuit's careers portal, where roles are listed by product division such as TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma. You can also browse current Software Engineering Manager openings at Intuit filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles aligned to your specific work authorization status before you invest time applying.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for a Software Engineering Manager role?
Intuit typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a directly related field, combined with hands-on engineering experience before transitioning to management. For USCIS H-1B purposes, the degree field needs to align with the technical domain of the role, so generic management backgrounds without engineering depth are harder to sponsor.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Software Engineering Manager offer at Intuit?
For H-1B cap-subject candidates, plan for a minimum of six to eight months from offer to start date, given the March registration window and October 1 cap-subject start. E-3 and TN processing at a U.S. consulate can move faster, often within four to eight weeks. USCIS premium processing, which adjudicates I-129 petitions within 15 business days, is available for H-1B and E-3 change-of-status filings.
