Align your credentials to fintech product standards
JPMorganChase evaluates Software Product Managers against financial services benchmarks. Frame your resume around delivering regulated, high-availability products. Experience managing API platforms, payments infrastructure, or compliance-adjacent features translates directly to what their hiring teams prioritize.
Target teams where sponsorship is routine
Within JPMorganChase, technology and digital transformation divisions hire Software Product Managers most frequently on sponsored visas. Focus your applications on roles under CIB Tech, Consumer and Community Banking, or Chase Digital, where international hiring is embedded in the team's normal workflow.
Browse sponsored Software Product Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter JPMorganChase's Software Product Manager openings by visa type, so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is actively offered rather than cold-emailing recruiters to ask.
Understand how JPMorganChase structures the H-1B filing process
JPMorganChase typically files H-1B petitions after an offer is signed. If you're transitioning from OPT or CPT, confirm your F-1 program end date and the 60-day grace period early, because the LCA certification through DOL adds lead time before USCIS can even receive the petition.
Prepare for a multi-round technical and behavioral interview process
JPMorganChase Software Product Manager interviews include product case rounds, system design discussions, and behavioral panels tied to leadership principles. Arrive with concrete examples of managing cross-functional engineering and compliance stakeholders, which mirrors the internal dynamics you'd face on the job.
Clarify your visa pathway before the offer stage
If you're eligible for the E-3 or H-1B1, tell your recruiter before the offer is drafted. JPMorganChase's immigration team handles multiple visa categories, but the internal routing for E-3 versus cap-subject H-1B processing differs and affects your start date timeline.

Find Software Product Manager at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Software Product Managers?
Yes. JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Software Product Managers and has a dedicated immigration support function to manage the process. Sponsorship is most common in technology and digital product divisions. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your petition would be submitted in the April lottery cycle, so your start date would be no earlier than October 1 of that fiscal year.
How do I apply for Software Product Manager jobs at JPMorganChase?
Applications go through JPMorganChase's careers portal. Search by job title and filter for technology or product roles. Migrate Mate also lists JPMorganChase's Software Product Manager openings with visa sponsorship filters, which helps you identify the right postings without manually reviewing each job description for sponsorship language. Tailor your application to the specific line of business, as hiring decisions are made at the division level.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for Software Product Manager roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Software Product Managers, along with Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classification. H-1B is the most widely used for this role. Australian citizens working in product management are well-positioned to pursue the E-3, which has no annual lottery and allows two-year renewable status.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for a Software Product Manager?
JPMorganChase typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, along with hands-on experience owning a software product end-to-end. Familiarity with Agile delivery, API product management, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination in regulated environments is weighted heavily. MBA credentials can strengthen senior-level candidacies but are rarely required at the associate or mid-level.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Software Product Manager at JPMorganChase?
For H-1B, timeline depends on the lottery and whether premium processing is used. USCIS premium processing currently runs 15 business days from receipt for a decision. For E-3 and H-1B1, there is no lottery, so processing moves faster and consular interviews can often be scheduled within weeks. In all cases, the DOL must certify the Labor Condition Application before USCIS filing can begin, which adds roughly one to two weeks.
